*Mads POV*
“Mads is this enough cleavage?” Jess asked as she stepped out of changing room. I looked up from my phone and almost fell off my chair. Jess was standing there in a dress that just barely covered her butt and showed off half her boobs.
“If you’re a stripper then yeah probably,” I said.
“So it’s another no-go?” I nodded. Jess grumbled profanities and stomped back into the changing room. We’d been in the mall for the past 4 hours, searching for dresses. I’d found mine within the first hour of arriving but Jess was still searching. Whenever I liked a dress she hated it and vice versa.
Jess stepped out of the changing room with the dress on its hanger again. She placed it in its respectful spot then dragged me out of the store. We wandered a bit in search of a new store.
“What about that place?” I pointed to a small boutique-like store across the mall. From where we were standing I could see it was overflowing with all kinds of dresses. Jess ooh’ed and basically ran across the mall. I slowly followed after her and into the store. She was already looking at dresses and had one on her arm. When she noticed me she held up the dark blue dress she’d been holding. It was elegant and classy but sexy, I loved it.
“What about this one?” Jess asked, biting her lip nervously.
“I love it!” I said. Jess squealed in excitement. “You’re not trying it on?” I questioned.
“No I’m sick and tired of all this trying shit on. I’m buying it and we’re getting out of this godforsaken mall!” Jess said. I was shocked, Jess loved shopping. I shrugged and followed her to the cashier. She paid for the dress and we walked out of the mall and to her car.

“You really need to get your license,” Jess said laughing as we stepped out of her car.
“I know but with what’s going on with my mom and Josh I don’t think it’s a very good idea to try and learn how to drive. I have you and Matt anyways,” I replied. We stepped into my air conditioned house and took our shoes off.
“Have you talked to him yet? Josh I mean,” Jess asked.
“Um not yet but I think he’s going to the keg party so I think I might talk to him then,” We walked upstairs and into my room, placing our bags on the ground.
“That’s a good idea. Are you excited about the party? Only a couple more days!”
“Of course I’m excited!” I said a fake smile plastered on my face. Honestly I was terrified to see Josh again. We hadn’t spoken since the fight and it worried me. Did he ever actually love me? Had he moved on already? Did he still love me? All these questions whirled through my mind on a regular basis. I’d find myself spending more on heroin than ever before. I usually stayed and chatted with Dennis if I had the time. Any other time I’d visit my mom with Matt and sometimes Jess. Heroin and visiting my mom kept me occupied for most of the time. I’d gone out with Justin a couple times as well to keep me busy.
“Mads! Phone!” Matt’s voice broke me from my train of thought. I reached over and grabbed the phone from my vanity.
“Hello?” I said into the phone. Jess frowned and mouthed ‘who is it?’ to me. I was equally confused, only relatives phoned the landline nowadays. I sat down on my vanity chair and waited for a response.
