Waking up in the cold house her and Niklaus had been gifted the night before, Saga felt content wrapped in the animal furs with her new husband. "Good morning Saga. Are you feeling alright after last night?" Niklaus asked with his arm behind his head as they rest together nude due to them consummating their marriage the night before "I'm wonderful Nik, thank you." Saga blushed and hid her face in her husbands chest where her head had rested the previous night. "We've had food delivered for us because they thought we'd like some time to ourselves to adjust." "That was very kind." "Kol asked about you, I think he may want to speak with you." Niklaus said as he got up to get dressed. "When did he ask about me?" "Last night before we came here." "I should go and see him. I'll be back soon." she said after she slipped on a dress, turning to walk out the door. "I might not be here but I will be back tonight." Niklaus told her before she disappeared to see his brother, Saga only nodded in response.
"Hello sister." Kol grinned at the shorter girl. "Hello Kol, Nik said you wished to speak to me." "I was going to tell you that you shouldn't feel pressured to sleep with Nik. I know how shy you are and I don't want you hurting." He said tucking a piece of hair behind her ear. "I was fine Kol, I promise." "You'll tell me if he hurts you, won't you? He may be my brother but I will cut him if he harms you my dear." "Calm down Kol," she placed her hands on her brother in law and bestfriend's chest, "you will be the first to know if anything bad happens." "Good." "Oh Saga." Rebekah cheerily sung running up to her. "Hello Bekah. You look nice." "Thank you," Rebekah leaned in to her ear, "I'm going to meet a boy." "Oh Rebekah. Do be careful." She whispered back. "I will be fine, I will see you both later." Rebekah announced running away from the two before Kol got a word into the conversation with his sister. "You should get resting." Saga's mother voiced from behind where her and Kol stood together, looking to where Rebekah was stood. "Mother," Saga jumped, "I was just speaking with Kol." "You're supposed to be spending time with Niklaus, off you go. Now." "Yes mother, goodbye Kol. I will see you later." "Bye Saga." He replied kissing her hand before winking at her mother, which caused Saga to slap his arm.
Sitting inside their shared home, Saga began to wonder where Niklaus would have gone today. He wasn't needed for a hunt and they had water given to them with the food this morning. She pushed the thoughts aside as she cleaned and prepared dinner for her and Niklaus. "Oh, you're just in time Nik." she said not turning around as she heard the door open. "I'm not Niklaus, sorry for the dissapointment." Liv sniffed as she came into her sisters house. "Liv. What's wrong?" she questioned seeing her sister in tears. "Leif has died in battle, we cannot be wed." "Oh sister, I am so sorry." she said hugging her grief-stricken sister.
A long while later, Niklaus had finally come home and was surprised to see Saga still awake while laid in their shared bed. "Are you ok, Saga?" he said climbing into the bed. "My sister is heartbroken Nik, it hurts to see her in such pain." "Come here." he opened his arms to her.
The couple were comfortable around each other due to knowing each other through Nik's siblings. Yet, they weren't able to be romantic through simple affections as they were still navigating through the relationship. Saga liked Nik and thought he'd be a great husband and father. Nik, however, was still unsure as he had not prepared to be married yet. The silence of the night was disrupted by nature as the trees rustled in the wind, Saga lay awake as Nik snored away in a deep sleep. She had an uneasy feeling in her chest, like someone was pressing against her lungs unwilling to let up. Deciding to get out of bed, Saga carefully moved around Nik and onto a chair at the small table where the meal she had made was left untouched due to her sisters heartbreak and Niklaus' late entrance. Looking out onto the barren land that created a path towards the village, she could see the lake she sat at mere days ago with Kol. The moonlight shone down onto the body of water which was smoothly moving to and fro, the view subconsciously rocking her to sleep in the chair.
