As I wait for my best friend Melissa, in the small cafe we used to come to as we were kids. Melissa has been my best friend for sixteen years, she stuck with me through everything. Let me tell you something about Melissa.
She has dark brown hair that cascades down to her back, her brown eyes glimmer. She is bubbly and has a cocky, arrogant, ignorant douche of a brother. His name is Scott, he is a total opposite of Melissa. When I was six, Scott gave me a flower. I thought he was my friend, still is because I have to put up with him after all he is my best friend's brother.
When I turned sixteen for the first time, Melissa took me out clubbing, and she bought shots. We downed the shots, and I spotted Scott making out with some chick. He noticed me and continued on, I used to have a massive crush on him, and Scott knew.
He sabotaged that, and I hate him since. I made up I was going out with someone, so he wouldn't make fun of me. He never believed me, and continued to pester me, until one day Scott has to go away to his Auntie's house, because he was finding it hard in school. So Scott got tutored by a girl, a girl who liked Scott. They sort of had, a teacher/student relationship until the Auntie found out, and Scott was sent back home until he found it useful to go back to school. Melissa know's I still have a crush on him, but I made her promise not to tell Scott.
As I get snapped out of the past, the bell to the cafe rings. I turn my head but to notice that Melissa has walked through. She turns her head, our eyes locked. She smiles before runs over to me, I laugh as she runs. When she has reached me, she squeals and clings onto me.
I couldn't help but hug back, laughing. "Hey Melissa, didn't know you were that excited to see me?" I question, raising a eye-brow.
She gasps, fake astonished. Placing a hand on her heart, "I Melissa Londons, is insulted that I cannot even see my best friend Gemma Smith" She announces, some people from the cafe stare at us, I slap Melissa's arm and she sits down.
She takes a deep breath, "Okay Melissa please don't be mad at me?" She ask's, looking at me.
I laugh, raising a eyebrow. "What could possibly be wrong?" I ask, looking at her back.
Her face falls into a frown, "Well Melissa, since your moving to New York. Scott and I decided that we would apply for that college as well. We both got in " She replies, sighing.
I stare at her, lost for words. My throat goes dry and I am suddenly unable to move, like I am paralyzed. "Scott is coming? Oh god, this can't be good! Congratulations to you, sad that I can't even congratulate my best friends brother " I reply, looking at her.
Her frown turns into a smile, "Thank you so much, I promise Scott will not bother you. If he does, I will cut his balls off and his daddy maker. Sound good?" She asks.
I couldn't help but go into fits of laughter, with-out noticing that Scott has entered the shop and is walking our way. When I stop laughing, wiping excess of tears. Scott walks over to me.
Taking a seat beside his sister, her scoffing moving away from him. I analyze Scott. His brown hair is styled naturally, his chocolate brown eyes that could make any other girl drool over him. Which makes me drool over him, he is wearing a vest shirt that says Rock with his dark blue shorts that come to his knees.
The corner of Scott's mouth twitches up into a smirk, "So Gemma, you really havn't changed. Has my beloved sister told you the good news?" He ask's, smirking. He clicks his fingers, signaling a waitress to come over.
A woman comes over, her rolling eyes. Scott smirks before he reaches over for her. Her eyes go wide, and she smiles. "Hello and Welcome to Birdies, what can I help you with?" She ask's, staring at Scott.
