Things didn't always use to be the way they ended up. Natsu was captain of the baseball team. One of the best pitchers in the state even. But when a freak accident causes him to lose most of his hearing it's like he became a nobody.

When new kid Aristotle transfers from Puerto Rico he instantly becomes popular due to his looks and accent. He doesn't have an interest in popularity though. He tries to approach Natsu only to not get a glance. He didn't understand why till he finds out the truth.
