Callie has been in foster care for six years, since her mother died when she was six, and her father gave up custody, citing caring for her was just too difficult. Foster home after foster home would call her social worker and tell them to take her off their hands. She's just too much work. Eventually, Callie wound up at the LA Children's Home, an orphanage essentially. Callie never heard the names people called her or what her former foster parents said. She loves music of all types, the beats that she feels in her soul. She has no use for lyrics, though. Callie is deaf. And because she's deaf, she has zero expectations of ever getting adopted. After all, who wants a 12 year old they can't understand? One with a dark secret. A/N: The artist, Mary Anna Rapazzo, is a real artist in Los Angeles and is really Deaf. She's a brilliant artist.
