Jo takes a deep breath out and leans against the backboard of her bed. "Maybe my mind can finally take a break."

"Maybe it will stop telling you to punch someone."

Jo looks down at her father, her lips pinched in her mouth. "Sorry."

Josie was content with her life - she had a supportive family, great grades, and a tight-knit group of friends. However, everything changed when Eddie uprooted it all. Suddenly, Josie found herself in unfamiliar territory, feeling homesick and out of place. Despite the constant pull to return to her old life, she had to muster the courage to adapt and carve out a new sense of belonging. But challenges arise. Death comes into play.
