Amity's POV

I opened my eyes and noticed that it was almost time for school. I sat up in my bed and stretched. There was something bothering me today. Even though it's all over with, my mind couldn't help but think of yesterday, 

*"Unlike the others, it's been a long time since I thought of you as perfect."

"This is just normal."

"That's why I want to join the student council."*

Those words continued to repeat in my head. I stood there blushing in my room for a while, looking like a complete idiot. But, if an idiot meant feeling like this, I don't mind.

Luz's POV

"Willow, can I erase the blackboard now?" Gus asked as he turned around. Willow jumped up from behind her book. She looked like she was writing something.

"Uh, yeah, sure." She said, but then quickly took it back, "Wait! I wasn't actually paying attention, sorry."

"What're you even doing?" I asked as I walked over to Willow.

"Then what are you writing so intently?" I look over her book and find her writing. She flinched and the book flipped over, "Uh, nothing!"

"Bye, see you tomorrow." Gus waved off to us as he left the room.

"Luz!" Willow and I heard a voice call for me. I turned around to see it was Amity.

I was now walking down the hallway beside Amity, "You didn't have to come all this way just to get me." 

She chuckled, "I wanted to see you as soon as possible."

I just eyed her, "Amity..."

"Yea?"

"Umm..."

"What?" 

"You're too close!"

"Oh. A-Am I?" She said embarrassed as she slightly moved away.

"You didn't realize?!" I looked at her. She shook her head.

"Tsk. Your sense of personal space is wack. You wouldn't want people to think we're in that kind of relationship, do you?" I looked down.

"But would they really be wrong to think that, though?" Amity rubbed her chin.

"Yes!"

Amity opened the doors to the student council room as I stood closely behind.

"Oh, you're early." Amity said as we walked into the student council room.

"Heya!" An unfamiliar girl exclaimed from across the room.

"Who's that?" I asked Amity.

"This is Viney, a freshman." Amity said as she introduced the girl.

"Hello! Nice to meet you." Viney waved.

"Now that we're all here, let's introduce ourselves. I'm the student council president, Amity Blight." 

"I'm the vice president, Boscha Withers." (I had to come up with a fake last name since the show never said anything 😒)

"The five of us will be running the student council." Amity announced, "I look forward to spending the year with you."

"The normal workload is one thing, but for events, we'll have our hands full!" She said as she wrote down all of the events on the board.

"And the one biggest event we have is...what, Luz?" She suddenly pointed to me. I'm caught off guard as I quickly turn around, "Huh?! Oh, umm... The school festival?" I said.
