Willow and Gus chat amongst themselves until they look over to me, head first on my desk and tired.

"She's really struggling..." They said.

"I really am..." I lifted my head from the desk.

"What does a campaign manager even do?" Gus asked me.

I try to recall everything I'm supposed to do, "Well, they help hand out fliers and they make posters..."

"That sounds annoying, but if that's all you do, why not think of it as an extension of you helping out?" Willow asked.

"I guess, but I also have to hold a campaign speech at the school assembly." I slowly put my head back down.

"Sheesh, now that sounds awful." Willow frowns, "Luz, don't you hate being in front of people?" 

I groan.

"Just turn her down." Gus sighed.

"I did! I told her that it was too great of a responsibility for me. But Amity just won't give up." I lift my head up and gently rub my ear.

"Seems like she's quite fond of you." Willow proposed.

"Why though?" I place my head on my hand and look towards them.

"Who knows?" They both say in unison. I turn my head towards the window.

Besides, Amity already has Boscha to help her out. From what I heard, they've held the top two spots for best scoring students ever since they started here. They stand out just by walking side-to-side. If Amity wants to win the election, Boscha would be a much better choice than me.

Speaking of Amity...

...what happened yesterday?

** "Amity... aren't you... aren't you the same as I am?" 

"No, I'm not. Because...Because... I think I'm falling love with you." **

"No no! Don't think about that, Luz..." I shook my head back and forth.

*Third Person POV*

Balls are bouncing back and forth, the rumbling and squeaking of shoes can be heard all across the gym floor. Amity just hit a volleyball past the other team's goal and scored the game winning point.

Her friends start to walk up and congratulate her.

Sitting in the corner is Boscha, staring at Amity as she talks to the other girls. Amity must have noticed Boscha since she decided to walk over to her.

"I see you're on top of your game."  Boscha turned away and seemed to be in a sour mood.

"Hey, I already said I was sorry. Cheer up!" Amity untied her rubber band and let her lime-colored her flow down her back.

"I'm sorry. It's my fault for just assuming that I'd be the campaign manager." Boscha pulled her legs into a cradling position and set her arms on top of her knees.

Amity crouched next to Boscha, "I'm really sorry for not talking to you about it first." Amity put both her hands together and apologized.

She then turns her head towards Boscha with a serious expression, "But, I really do want Luz to do it." 

Boscha stared at her for a while before speaking, "Why?"

Amity turns her head towards the direction of the volleyball players.
