Chapter 14 - Closure at Last

Mina's POV

If you had asked me one year ago where I thought that I would find myself in a year, I'm honestly not sure what I would have answered, but I can say with almost one hundred percent certainty that it wouldn't have been getting my make up done by a professional, wearing a fancy dress, sitting next to my famous boyfriend, and waiting for our time on a talk show that is famous all around the country.

I actually quite liked the dress that I was given by the staff, but (Y/N) sitting next to me didn't seem quite so pleased by the dress pants and button up white shirt, not to mention the makeup that was being put onto his annoyed face. We sat next to each other silently, waiting patiently for the make up to be done and for our time to come. 

Eventually the make up artists told us they were done and after taking a look at the large clock on the room's wall they instructed us to go ahead to the actual set. 

The two of us were then on our way, and stopped to the side of the set behind a pair of large curtains that hid the area where people worked on from the cameras and crowd, where we could finally take a breather and talk before the show started. The both of us let out a loud sigh, before looking at one another and letting out a chuckle at our random synchronization.

"You look really good in that dress" he said with a smile and a light blush on his cheeks, an expression that was quickly mirrored by me as I held onto his hand with mine. "Thanks... You know, you don't look too bad yourself Mr. Fancypants" I said slightly pushing him with my body.

"Don't get your hopes up Ashi, I'm changing back into my usual clothes as soon as the cameras stop recording" he said slightly pushing me back. "Aww, but you look so good!" I exclaimed which made him blush and look around looking for anyone that could have possibly heard me, which made me giggle at his embarrassment.

Unfortunately our joking was interrupted when the person who seemed to be the main man in charge walked towards us to say that recording would start in five minutes. We politely nodded and he turned around to talk to what seemed to be the man operating the main camera. 

An unusual silence fell upon us. I looked up to his face and noticed that his carefree attitude that I loved so much didn't seem present. The hand that I wasn't holding was fidgeting, and his vision seemed focused on nothing and everything at the same time.

I tightly squeezed his hand which made him turn his face towards me, as I held a sympathetic look and brought up my other hand to slightly massage his arm. 

"Hey. It's gonna be okay. I'm here right? We'll work through it together".

We kept eye contact for a few seconds before he let go of my hand, which disappointed me a little, before he turned his body to embrace me in a caring hug. I quickly recovered from the shock and returned the hug, feeling a quick but meaningful kiss being planted on my head by my boyfriend. 

"I love you so much Ashi" he whispered, silently enough that I was the only one able to hear it. Letting go of the hug we went back to holding hands and (Y/N) let out a big sigh for the second time of the night, now looking much more ready to go out in front of the cameras.

"Okay everyone! To your places, we're beginning in half a minute", the man in charge shouted, and my eyes finally ended up on the host, who I was able to see despite the curtains. The man that we had met during our first date. He was sitting behind a typical late night desk, wearing a suit and looking over a series of notes, probably containing the questions that he will ask (Y/N) during the interview.

"Okay everyone!" the man in charge shouted out, getting everyone including the crowd's attention. "We're going live in 3, 2 1..." he didn't finish his sentence as a red light shone from the main camera and the operator gave the host a thumbs up. And then the host got to work.
