Chapter 5 - Good Job Today!

(Y/N)'s POV

"Stop! Moving! You! Ass!" I said while repeatedly swinging a metal bat as the man with goggles and blond hair in front of me kept dodging and moving backwards. "What's the hurry kid? Aren't you supposed to be some kind of criminal hero or some shit?" he said with a shit eating grin. That is until his back hit the wall and had nowhere to run to anymore, because then his face was the one someone that knew was about to get hit in the head with a metal bat looked like.

I jumped up with my bat backwards and swung it forward, hitting the goggled man's head knocking him out for good, falling unconscious onto the floor. I let go of the metal bat and watched it turn back into the random civilizan that was previously being robbed by the man with goggles. "I just haven't finished my history homework. Asshole" I said turning back and grabbing my phone to look at the time. "12: 46. Guess I'll be going to bed later than usual huh?"

I called the police so they could arrest the man, explained what happened to the civilian when he regained consciousness, and did my homework while I waited for the cops to show up. When they arrived they thanked me for helping and I walked back to the dorms.

I only arrived at the dorms at 1 AM in the morning and the common room was completely dark and empty, so the usual for when I return to the dorms. I entered my room while removing my mask and throwing it on the desk, taking off my hoodie and sneakers, and falling unconscious into my bed.

Unfortunately my slumber didn't last long, and a few hours later my phone's alarm clock, the sound of the devil, woke me up. I sluggishly went through my morning routine, but adding a shower this time through since I didn't take one last night.

When I was finishing my breakfast I finally noticed no one else was in the dining hall or the kitchen so I checked my phone to see what time it is. "Shit! I only have 5 minutes till class!" I sped out of the dorms and after some running I arrived at the classroom and slammed the door open only to see Eraser Head in front of the class and all of my classmates sitting down, now all looking at me.

"Am I late?" I asked looking at Eraser. "I was about to start taking attendance now. You got lucky this time (L/N). Now go sit in your seat" I nodded and walked over to my seat next to Ashi. Yes, Ashi.

It has been a little bit over two weeks since the whole grafiti thing happened and I had a slip of the tongue and called her Ashi instead of Ashido. But for some reason she actually liked it and the nickname just kind of stuck. But back to more important things, I still don't know who the hell leaked the fact that I entered the school, but I don't think I care anymore. As long as I have Ashi, Kirishima and the others I think I'll be happy.

Class went like normal even though I had a slightly harder time than usual trying to stay awake while the teachers spoke. Soon enough though I found myself sitting in between of Ashido and Sero eating my lunch.

"Dude, you doing okay?" Kaminari asked looking at me "You seem more sleepy than usual, which is saying a lot" I shrugged and continued eating "I'm fine. Just got back to the dorms a bit later than usual"."How much later?" Jiro asked, who was siting next to Kaminari. "About an hour later. I got back at about 1AM I think".

"Well that explains it" Kirishima says sighing. "Why don't you take a break?" Sero suggested. "No can do. I already take Sundays off, that should be enough for me to rest" I said while taking another bite of my lunch, but they all still looked at me worriedly. "Please (L/N), just take one day other than Saturday. Please" Ashi said while looking at me pleadingly, and I almost gave in because of the look she was giving me, but I looked away from her and regained composure. "Sorry, I just can't force myself to do it" I said and immediately after, the bell rang signaling the end of lunch and we headed back to class, me and Ashi in silence.

Mina's POV

School had finished a few hours ago and me and the girls were all sitting down in the common room eating snacks and watching romcoms. I kept glancing at the door to see if (L/N) would arrive out of nowhere just so he could take a rest for once, tough I knew that wouldn't happen.

Eventually though, Tsu took notice of what I was doing and got curious. "Ashido, why do you keep looking back at the door?" she said just loud enough for me to hear, but not loud enough to block the sound of the TV. "It's nothing Tsu" I said shrugging it off.

But unfortunately the resident tomboy overheard us and just couldn't keep her mouth shut. "She's worried about (L/N)" she said with a grin and not taking her eyes off the screen. Everyone else's heads instantly turn to look at me and Toru immediately gets a huge grin on her face, even though none of us can actually see it. "Awww, Mina's got a crush!" she said excitedly.

I blushed a little bit maintained my composure. "No you dummy, it's just that he's been extra tired recently so I'm scared that he'll get hurt while fighting. That's all..." I said hugging my legs.

It looked like Toru was about to respond with another tease but YaoMomo jumped in and gave her opinion before she got the chance to speak. "I wouldn't be worried if I were you Ashido. We all saw him fight against Mr. Aizawa, and you even saw him fight before that so I don't think he's given you much reason to worry " she said calmly, but then I remembered what (L/N) said about her.

"But YaoMomo don't you, you know, dislike (L/N)?" I said hesitantly, and she looked surprised for a second before looking away. "I don't hate him. I just don't think U.A. should take in people that have done things that are illegal in the past" she said. "I have to agree with YaoMomo" said Uraraka looking down. "So do I" said Tsu looking at me with an apologetic look on her face.

I looked shocked at the three girls before me and got so mad that I got up and went to my room not looking back despite hearing Uraraka calling my name. I jumped onto my bed and hugged my pillow. It's so unfair. Despite all the good that he has done before, not doing absolutely anything bad on his time here, and all the good that he is probably doing right this instant! They still can't get past the fact that he used to do illegal activity, even if that illegal activity saved people!

I thought for a while until I got an idea on what to do, and instantly let go of the pillow and grabbed my phone to set my plan in motion.

(Y/N)'s POV

It was 11:50 and I was heading back to the dorms. I opened the door and as always I saw the common room completely dark and empty. I headed to my room, completely ready to just fall unconscious in my bed.

I opened the door and after taking off my mask, hoodie and shoes fell into my bed. I would have fallen asleep instantly though, if it weren't for a an uncomfortable feeling on my face. I sat on the bed and grabbed what was actually a piece of paper on top of my pillow.

It looked like a letter so I turned on the light next to my bed and began reading it. It read:

"Dear (L/N). I know your first weeks here in U.A. have been hard. Like really hard. And I know you sometimes feel like you don't fit in with the rest of us, mostly because some of us don't even want you to fit in. And because of you being extremely tired because of your 'vigilante work' as you still call it, to the grafitis that were in school two weeks ago, I want you to know this. There are people here that care about you (L/N). And so when I thought about how it must be tiring doing all your 'vigilante work' and how sucky it must be to get back to the dorms and it being all silent and empty and stuff, I had an idea, and I really hope you like it. Just lay down in you bed and enjoy.

Extremely curious of what the pink girl had done I immediately laid down on my bed and looked up at the ceiling. And when I saw it a huge smile took over my face. It was a huge white poster with the words 'Good Job Today!' written on it big in black, and the names of people in different colors written around it. Midoriya in green, Sero in orange, Jirou in purple, Toru in white with a black outline, Kaminari in yellow, Koda in light blue, Kirishima in red, Bakugou in dark orange, Tokoyami in black, even Eraser Head in grey, and of course; Ashi in pink.

I laid down looking up at the poster, thinking how the hell she managed to make Bakugou and Eraser write their names on it, and as my eyes slowly closed, I fell asleep with a big dumb grin.
