Chapter 2 - Battle for your Future

(Y/N)'s POV

"U.A."

I take a step back shocked. What is the principal of U.A. doing here? This can't good news...

"Let's have a chat shall we?" He says with a smile. I nervously smile back "And why would I, or you want that?" he crosses his arms and closes his eyes.

"Well Mr. (L/N), as you may or may not know law enforcement has recently had trouble with a vigilante of sorts. From the photographic evidence we have managed to gather we can't see his face completely because he is always with his face mask and hood on, though I'm sure if someone saw them without the mask they'd instantly recognize them"

I begin to relax a little. He's got nothing on me, no evidence, he can't do anything. Yet his smile remains. "But it seems he got a little reckless last night. You see after he stopped a robbery it seems one of my students was in the store where the robbery was attempted and she followed him back to his house without him noticing" he says devilishly smiling at me.

Well fuck. It must have been that pink girl. I remember seeing her in the sports festival now that I think about it. I should have been more careful. I get ready to run and take off, which he notices. "I wouldn't recommend that Mr. (L/N). This building is surrounded by both police and pro heroes".

I clench my fists and look at him angrily. Now I'm really screwed. "So I ask you again. Let's have a chat shall we?" I hesitantly take a step to the side and let him enter my apartment. I lead him to the living room where we sit on two different sofas.

"So are you here to take me away to a prison or something for using my quirk without permission or something?" I ask first. "No, well at least not yet. It could always come to that if you choose not to cooperate" "Cooperate? What do you mean?"  

He smiles at me and asks "(Y/N) (L/N) would you like to join my academy for heroes in training?". Silence fills the room for a few seconds until I answer, what to me was the obvious answer. "No". He seems a little surprised by my answer. I mean who wouldn't want to attend the number one hero school in Japan?

"Hmm. Why is that?" "Because I don't have the luxury of waiting for three years to start working as a hero. I can already help so much now, so that's what I'm doing" I tell him. He closes his eyes and looks down for a few seconds, seemingly thinking about something. "Well, I personally believe that only shows how good of a hero you could become with proper training but oh well. Okay, come to my school on Monday and we'll agree on something there. If you don't come I'll tell the police and the pro heroes working on my school to find you since you didn't, as I said before, cooperate. Deal?"

I really don't want to do this. But realistically I don't really have a choice do I? I nod and he smiles and makes his way out of the apartment.  I wonder what he has planned.

Mina's POV

It has been two days since I met with the vigilante in the store and I was currently talking to my friends in class before Mr. Aizawa arrives, or more accurately listening to them talk to each other. That boy really hasn't left my mind since then, and it probably hasn't helped that I haven't heard back from principal Nezu after I told him where his house was.

"Earth to Mina! Earth to Mina! Someone there!?" I snap back to reality as I see Toru's sleeves waving in front of my face. "Oh sorry. What were we talking about?" "You seem a little out of it Ashido, is anything going on?" Sero asks.

Oh yeah, I was specifically told not to tell anyone about my encounter with him, so my friends have absolutely no idea. "Nah just thinking about some family stuff that's all".

Before they could question me any further Aizawa entered the classroom and everyone went to their respective seats. "Ok everyone, today is going to be different from the usual. Follow me, you can ask questions later".
