Act 7: Cuddles

Scene 1:

The rest of Term 1 went on, and so did Term 2. Eddie has been having the best time at East Brissy, and so has Chase. Oliana kept trying to make a move on Eddie, but so far, he's been able to slip under her flirting radar, without having to reject her directly. As for Chase, it looked like something was gonna happen with Abby for a few moments, but as Eddie predicted, Chase always backed out in time. And as planned, Eddie and Holly managed to convince the rest of the group to a trip to the slopes, in Kiandra. Right now, Eddie is in a taxi with Chase, and they're getting there. They can already see the snow.

Chase: Wow, look at that.

Eddie: I know, it's beautiful.

Chase: If only Abby, Oliana, and Leo were here... What are they doing, exactly?

Eddie: Not sure about the girls, but Leo is in Coral Bay with his brother, Darius.

Chase: He has a brother?... Wait, are you talking about Darius Oliver, that legend from the school wars? That's Leo's brother? 

Eddie: Well, that's his stepbrother. Leo and that Darius guy were both adopted by Reverend Chuck... It's a really confusing thing.

Chase: Wow... I had no idea... What's Leo doing in Coral Bay, either way? It must suck in the Winter.

Eddie: Who cares if it sucks, or not? He's getting paid.

Chase: What do you mean?

Eddie: They're paying him to babysit Kimi's children.

Chase: Who the fuck is Kimi?

Eddie: No idea, some guy who's friends with Darius, and also Holly's brother, if I'm not mistaken... But enough of them. Today is about our group, and nothing but our group.

Chase: ... Except Bree, right? You told me she's not coming.

Eddie: (grinning) Sure.

Chase: Good, 'cause I couldn't even imagine, having to face her now.

[Meanwhile, Holly, Russ and Bree were already in the cabin, sitting next to the fireplace]

Russ: What's taking them so long?

Bree: Them? I thought we were only waiting for Landon.

Holly: And we are... Landon is so cool, he counts as multiple people.

Russ: That's... Exactly what I meant.

Bree: Good... For a moment there, I thought Chase was coming. I could not be in the same place as him now.

[As for Eddie and Chase, the taxi just stopped, and they got out. They're now on their way to the cabin]

Chase: So... How much do we have to walk?

Eddie: It's right there, at the end of this street, if I'm not mistaken... Of course that with all the snow, we can't see shit.

[They walk a bit and eventually get to the cabin. Holly, Russ and Bree step outside, to help them with their luggage. Holly runs towards Eddie and hugs him]

Eddie: Aw, Holly.

Holly: Finally, you're here.

Russ: (high fives both Eddie and Chase) Finally, bros!

Bree: Chase?

Chase: Bree?

Bree: Okay, what the fuck is this?

Chase: (a bit angry) Is this some sort of setup? 'Cause I'm not staying if she's here.

Bree: (also angry) Good, 'cause I'm not staying either.
