Scene 1:
As promised by Kaipo, Eddie took the rest of the week off. That week went by, and right now, it's Monday, and also Eddie's first day at East Brisbane High. He just woke up, and is having breakfast with Noah.
Noah: (biting a vegemite sandwich) So, you're really going to East Brissy, huh?
Eddie: Yep. I can't go back now.
Noah: Hey, I just realized... This means you probably won't get that Holly chick.
Eddie: I know that since the beginning. She's Russ's girlfriend. I never had a chance.
Noah: You could have always tried to steal his girlfriend.
Eddie: What? Dude, I would never do that. He saw her first, he won fair and square. Besides, Russ is my friend, and he was always nice to me. That would be evil on so many levels.
[Gary and Judy come downstairs]
Gary: Good morning, Landon and Max.
Judy: Ready for your first day at the new school, Landon?
Eddie: Yeah, definitely.
Gary: By the way, Max, any updates on the knocked up girl?
Judy: Gary! Show some respect.
Noah: No, dad. But as soon as something comes up, I'll keep you updated.
Judy: I can't believe we're getting a grandchild already.
Noah: And I can't believe I'm gonna be a dad already.
Eddie: When is her due date?
Noah: We're expecting it to be around September, since... Well, the... The... The thing... It happened in December.
Gary: We're all grown-ups here, son. Just say it, the sex happened.
Judy: Gary!
Noah: (awkward smile) Yeah.
[Noah and Eddie eventually finish their breakfast, and leave]
Eddie: Gotta love these awkward convos with the new parents.
Noah: You wouldn't love them so much, if you were about to become a parent yourself.
Eddie: So, I'm assuming you're not gonna take me to school in the convertible anymore.
Noah: Nope. Can't go to East Brissy, they hate me there. Sorry, bro.
Eddie: Hey, it's okay. I can walk there.
Noah: Who says you have to walk? I'm not taking you there, but there's someone who will.
[Clive pulls up, in a dark, grey Mercedes-Benz Class S Cabriolet]
Eddie: Haha, holy shit!
Clive: Hey Eddie, I was told you wanted to show up in style.
Eddie: Jeez, this is awesome... Bye, Noah.
Noah: Bye Eddie, good luck.
Clive: Your brother is in good hands. Bye Noah.
Noah: Bye, Clive.
[Clive storms off, headed to East Brisbane High]
Eddie: I'll never get tired of going to school like this.
Clive: I know, right? Something about the wind, touching your hair on a sunny day, as you drive to school in a convertible... So amazing.
Eddie: I made the right choice, right?
