A/N: Oh my goodness, sorry for the delay everyone. I was in a slump, didn't feel like writing, wasn't feeling as obsessive about skz as I did before, so I wasn't as inspired to write. But! We are back.

Yeona's POV

It's been about an hour since Jeongin arrived. Everything was going really well, to be honest. I was surprised at how well my parents and him got along. He sat at the high chairs by the counter, watching my mom cook. I sat at an adjacent table, joining in on the conversation sometimes, but otherwise, finishing up a little bit of work.

"Jeongina, do you have siblings?" My mom is drilling all of the questions while she chops up some onions.

"Yes, I have an older and a younger brother," replies Jeongin.

"And are you guys close?"

"Yes, we get closer as we get older."

"And your parents? Where do they live?"

"Busan. They've been there for a while now."

"Busan? You don't have an accent."

"No, I had learned the Seoul accent so that I could be successful in Seoul."

My mom bursts out laughing at this. "Thank god for that, because I can't understand the southern accent for the life of me."

My eyes dart over at Jeongin, hoping he wasn't offended by her frank comment. Instead, he's laughing with her. "I know right? It's a rough one."

My dad enters the room with a couple bottles of soju from the dimchae, our kimchi fridge. (It holds our kimchi in one section, and various other things in the other.) He casually walks past the counter to the table, and sets down the bottles and two shot glasses.

"Honey, not before he gets any food into his stomach!" My mom scolds my dad.

He huffs a little, and mumbles, "Okay, fine," before putting the soju away...for now.

Jeongin chuckles nervously, and I grab his arm. "Let me show you around the outside!"

I can tell that Jeongin is breathing a sigh of relief to be outside away from the watching eyes of my parents. He takes in a deep breath of the cold Socal air (cold..like 65 degrees cold), before looking at the trees surrounding the property.

"How is it that all of the trees are still green?" He says in awe.

"I know. That's one of the best parts about living in Korea though. It's so pretty in the fall."

"The weather here is so nice though. I can't imagine wanting to leave."

I nod, knowing that I had taken all of this perfect weather for granted.

I look at him from the side and jokingly say, "I guess you could just visit here every winter and escape Seoul's cold with me."

He laughs, grabs my hand, and says, "Honestly, I'm not not down."

"So how are you getting along with my parents? Not too bad?"

"No, they're nice. It's not hard to talk to them, and I don't feeeeel like they hate me? They might like me?"

I shrug with a sheepish smile on my face. "We can never know, can we?"

He looks to the skies and gives me a pained smile. "No, we can't."

The days go by with Jeongin waking up early to help my mom cook and clean. He barely even spends time with me, what with his attempts to get my parents on his side. ("Hello, neglected girlfriend over here!" "Babe, your mom needs more help than you do.") I acted annoyed, but really I was so relieved that my boyfriend ended up having the common sense to treat the parents with this level of respect. Through my younger years of dating, I felt like I had to teach manners to boys and force them to grow into men (unsuccessfully). Luckily, Jeongin was already a man. *Insert big proud happy smile*

On Christmas night, we gathered around the tree to open presents. I had helped Jeongin buy some golfing clothes and gear for my parents, in addition to a new Dyson vacuum, since I knew they had been using one for a really long time.

"Jeongin!! You didn't have to do this! This is too much," my mom protested, trying to hide her excitement.

"Mother, it's really nothing! Yeona helped buy it too, so it's not just from me," he said, lying to help convince her that it was really okay to accept such an expensive gift.

"There's one more thing," he says. I look at him, my head tilting slightly to one side. One more thing?

He pulls out 3 envelopes and hands each one to each of us. We all open them, and see first class plane tickets back to Korea, with round trip credit for my parents.

Their eyes go big, and they look at each other before embracing Jeongin.

"Jeongin, dear, we can't accept this gift."

"You haven't been back to Korea since before the pandemic, though. You should come and see how Yeona is living in Seoul, see her climb, visit her office, everything!"

My mom tears up a little. She wants to say no, but she can't bring herself to.

"Jeongin, this...this is a big gift," I tell him. I know that he's really well off, especially as a world famous celebrity, but this still felt like a lot.

"I am really sorry for making you guys uncomfortable with these big presents, but truly, I want to do all I can to show you that I love Yeona a lot, whether it means helping around the house, or bringing you all back to Korea."

We all look at him with small smiles, and reluctantly nod. My mom gives him another tight hug, which I join in on. My dad stands to the side, arms crossed, laughing a little.

Next thing you know, we're heading to the airport, driven by Jeongin's manager, to fly back to Korea in First Class!!! Jeongin and I moved incognito throughout the airport, worried about LA fans who might spot us, but it seemed like we made it through without an issue. Once boarded, and once we were in the air, we really relaxed into the big capsule like seats for the long flight.

"Yeona, wake up," mumbles Jeongin, as he tries to pull himself out of his sleep.

"Hmm.." I mutter back.

"We're home."

I open my eyes and look around. We are getting close to the ground, and passengers around us are stirring. My parents excitedly look outside, each with their slippers and blankets on. They had really taken full advantage of their first class experience, and I was so glad that Jeongin had given it to them.

"Umma, Appa! We're here!!" My mom waves around her hands in small circles, showing her excitement.

Upon landing, Jeongin and I put on our disguises again, and left his manager with my parents so that we could slip away without putting my parents in any situation.

And boy, was there a situation.
