Yeona's POV

"Yeona, I — I think I like you too much to be able to let you go."

What is this change? The air feels different, his eyes feel different, his hands — one on my shoulder, one on my cheek — they feel different. Everything is softened, everything is heightened. I hesitantly reach one of my hands up to his cheek, brushing his cheekbone with my thumb slowly. We both know what he meant by that. There's no doubt about how we feel about each other.

"Yeona, say something, please," he mutters. I didn't even notice that I was still silent. Thoughts were racing through my head about how everything was about to change. About how I was going to sign the NDA tonight, and how we were going to be more than friends.

I give him a soft smile, before leaning against him. I mumble into his shirt, "I feel the same way," before sighing.

We melt into each other's arms and end up sinking to the floor hugging, our legs naturally wrapping around each other. He gently pets my hair, as I draw small circles on his back with my fingers.

I feel him pause for a second, and I pull back to look at him. His jawline really is so sharp from this angle, I think to myself, laughing internally.

"Give me the contract," I tell him. He looks down at me and brushes some hair from my face before saying, "You're sure?"

"I'm sure."

We untangle our arms and legs, and get up to go back to the contract that we had abandoned on the countertop. I read through it once more with his help, and sign.

"Jason probably had to do this too, right?"

"Yeah, Felix was the one who warned me that this would happen. I just didn't think it would happen so soon."

I pass Jeongin a cup of tea, and sip on mine as I play back all of the events that had just happened, and I can't help the laugh that escapes me.

"What?" he asks me, raising an eyebrow.

"I was just thinking about how nothing was going to get physically dangerous with the lawyers."

He's quiet and a sheepish look slowly forms on his face.

"I....might have overreacted a little BUT in my defense, I was quite concerned for you!"

I laugh for a good 10 seconds, clutching my sides tearing up a little. He continues to protest, "They could've forced you into signing it okay?! It would've been very bad to sign something without reading it!"

I look up at his indignant expression and grin, as another memory is drawn up in my mind.

"Do you remember when you caught me when I slipped outside the apartment, way back when?" I ask him, smirking a little.

"Yeah, what about it?"

"Honestly, I wasn't going to fall, but thank you for letting me live inside a Korean drama scenario for a second."

He scowls at me now, and I say "Okay, okay I'm sorry, I'll stop." I look at him, standing with his arms crossed, full on pout on his face, and finally hold up my hands and say, "Okay, I am still grateful for all of this okay?" I pat his head a little, his head reflexively leaning into the pat.

"So what now?" I ask him.

"Well, we can deliver the contract to the company tomorrow, and afterwards..." He looks away shyly, before mumbling, "We can go on a date? A real date." He avoids my eyes as he asks. I chuckle at his behavior and put my face in his line of sight. "Yes please, I'd love that."
