"A Clubhouse"
I was lying in my bed staring at the ceiling. I was really nervous about what was about to happen. I was going to show Jason something that no one else has ever seen. I don’t know why I felt compelled to tell him but for some reason I felt like I had to. I felt like he needed to know. He was becoming really important to me.
“You ok Clary,” Luke asked as he walked in the bedroom.
“Yeah. Just nervous,” I said as I looked over at him.
“About what,” he asked as he sat on the edge of the bed.
“I’m about to take Jason somewhere,” I said.
“Am I going,” he asked.
“No.”
“So it’s a date,” he said with a smile.
“No. I just have to show him something,” I said frowning.
“What is it,” he asked.
“A special place,” I said with a sigh as I sat up.
“Why would that make you nervous,” he asked.
“It just does,” I told him. I didn’t want to give him the real reason.
“Is it because you’ll be alone with him,” he asked.
“I guess a little,” I said with a slight nod.
“It’ll be ok. He won’t try anything,” he said as he touched my arm.
“I know that. I know that he would never hurt me. He just makes me…uneasy,” I said
“Because you like him so much,” he stated.
“Yes,” I admitted.
“It’s about time you admitted that,” he said.
“He scares me because of how he makes me feel,” I told him.
“You just have to relax and give him a chance. He’s good for you,” he said.
“How,” I asked as I looked right at his face.
“He makes you feel better. I can tell. You seem to light up around him,” he told me.
“He’s helped me make friends. I feel happier again,” I told him.
“I know,” he said as he wrapped his arm around me.
“Jason is jealous of my new friend,” I said as I put my head on his shoulder.
