                                                             "A Day Alone"

I woke up on Wednesday and didn’t want to go to school. I just didn’t want to face all of those people. So instead I rolled over and almost bumped into Luke. He was still sound asleep. I looked over his face and felt that same familiar jolt. He just looked so much like Axel that it drove me crazy.

“Good morning,” he said after he opened his eyes.

“Morning,” I said back as I sat up.

“Aren’t you usually gone by now,” he asked me after he rubbed his eyes.

“Yeah but I’m not going to school today,” I told him.

            “Why not,” he asked.

“I just don’t feel like it,” I said with a shrug as I got up and walked over to the door.

“So we’re just gonna hang out today,” he asked.

“Sounds good to me,” I told him.

“Yes! What are we gonna do,” he asked as he followed me down the stairs in nothing but his underwear.

“I don’t know yet. I guess we could go shopping,” I told him as I walked into the kitchen.

“I love shopping. Will you buy me things,” he asked.

“I suppose if you act right I could buy you a few things,” I told him with a smile.

“Yay,” he said with a smile.

“You can be so childish,” I said with a laugh.

“It keeps me young,” he said with a happy shrug.

“So what did you used to do for fun,” I asked him.

“I used to hang out with my friends. We would play video games and watch movies. We would hang out at the mall,” he told me thinking it over.

“Do you think we should get a game system today,” I asked him as I sat at the stool.

“Do you have enough money for one,” he asked as he started eating an apple.

“I have over six grand saved up. I think I have enough,” I told him with a smile.

“Then hell yeah we should get one. We should get an Xbox 360 with a kinect,” he told me.

“I have no idea what that is,” I told him.

“It’s a system that I can hook up to where we can play certain games without a controller,” he explained.

“Oh cool and we can get some games,” I told him.

“It’s gonna be great. I’ll show you the best stuff,” he said.
