Chapter 11

Normal POV

Thunderan Territory

Thundra paced around the Throne room, his cape trailing behind him and sticking to his bare back with sweat, as he walked from one corner to the other, deep in thought.

He was still angry with his son for shaming him by getting captured by mere pure blood demons and he was angry with his wife for interrupting the punishment he was giving his son.

Even though, she had apologized both with her words and in ways that still had his joints aching and throbbing in an enjoyable manner, he couldn't help but fear that the woman would be the reason his plans fail in the end and that was something he couldn't have or allow to happen.

He couldn't just kill her.
Heck, he couldn't even lock her up and hold her down.
She may be a wingless Thunderan but she was by far his senior in the combat and magic department.
She was the first choice of the gods to be appointed at the god and ruler of Thundera but she had insisted that she would never rule without a king and hence the reason why Thundra was king.
He was supposed to reside in the Realm of gods while Lera would rule Thundera.

He ran his hands through his long hair.
His son was far to attached to his mother and it would be trouble for him in the near future.
He had faith in the binds he'd put on his son but he still feared what his wife would do to him.

He sighed and went back to sit on his Throne.
He glanced at his wife's Throne, at his left that laid empty for the time being and the smaller Throne on his right that was meant for his son.

Speaking of son

He couldn't pass the hallway that led to his son's room without getting an earful and probably a bitch fit from Lera and the giantess that his wife had kept there to guard his son.
His unconscious son that had been asleep for the past 2 weeks.

Now that he looked back at it, he regretted punishing the boy so harshly.
The boy had been injured beyond what Thundra had seen and it was so severe that the boy's body had completely forgotten how to tap into the healing magic of his demon blood due to the shock of his broken bones and the fact that it was his father that had hurt him that bad.
He could the smell his son's fear and it made his gut twist a bit because the boy wouldn't look at him with adoration like before but he was okay with the fear because his son would think twice before doing anything stupid.

Ugh

Now he felt bad and was sorry for hurting the child.
His wife may have apologized and pleased him but he knew for sure that she was still pissed at him.
He could still remember the argument that they'd had after she'd laid Zeddein in his room.

"He's just a boy for crying out loud! You made him bleed and cry!" Lera yelled
"I know he's a boy but he's not as fragile as you think. He's a tri-brid for fucks sake and can handle a little bleeding" Thundra shrugged
"A little?! You call what you did little?!" Lera screeched and the walls of their room shuddered.
"Of course it was little. I didn't even finish punishing him" Thundra rubbed his temples
"What the fuck, Thundra! Your punishment snapped his spinal cord, wrecked his limbs, sent him into the highest state of shock I've ever seen and you shattered 12, if not all, of his ribs with those heavy boots of yours!" Lera screamed and held him by the lapels of his leather jacket.
"Well, at least he'll be fine" Thundra brushed his wife's hands from his jacket and she punched him in the jaw, hard. The sound of bones breaking echoing in the room.
Thundra stared at her wide eyed as he held his jaw and put it back in place.

For a mother she packs quite a punch

No shit

He groaned at looked up to see tears running down her cheeks.
"He fell asleep as soon as I took him to his room and he's been asleep since yesterday till now. His body was refusing to heal so I used my own magic but his body refused to accept my powers fully and is delaying to heal" Lera wailed and dropped to her knees in front of Thundra with her face buried in her hands.

Thundra didn't know that and didn't expect his punishment to turn out to be that severe.
For all he knew, his tribrid son is supposed to be able to handle basically any form of pain or torture.
But one thing caught him.

Did this also happen at Cybryn when he was captured?

He couldn't tell and he couldn't even begin to imagine the possibilities of it and what the Cybryn could have done to his son if he had fallen into this semi comatose state.

But did it actually happen?

Thundra was speechless now

You didn't ask him, dummy

Gee thanks for reminding me how inconsiderate I am as a father, self conscious.

He sighed and turned to his weeping wife.
He laid on the ground with her, their legs intertwined and stroked her chin lovingly before kissing each of her eyelids.
She seemed to calm down a bit and Thundra placed a kiss on her lips to comfort her.

**********************

Now he couldn't even grab on to that affection as he pondered on ways to end his wife before she betrayed him and ruin everything for him.
He only hoped that his son would survive whatever it was that he was going through.

He groaned again and sighed.

He loved his wife but he could not stand it that she was going to try to stop his plans

*************************

Zeddein looked smaller and rather defenseless as he laid down on the bed, cocooned in the heavy covers.

He was burning up but he was shivering and didn't, couldn't even, change sleeping position.
He looked fragile and hurt.
The bruises and wounds were healed but Thundra knew that they hadn't been healed by the boy's magic.
He felt his wife's magic coursing through the boy and struggling to heal the broken bones but his body was only letting the foreign magic to enter and do its job at a slow rate.

Thundra pulled the sheets down a bit and sighed upon seeing his sons torso lined with angry red and blue bruises.
He looked through the boy's body to ascertain the level of the damage.

Silver mist struggled to pick up bits and pieces of rib bones and fuse them to the original bones.
Anyone that wouldn't fuse, was instantly dissolved and turned to smoke while the original bone was being made to regrow it self.

Thundra's eyes caught the tattoos on the boy and he growled.
The boy that had been trained to show no mercy or compassion had a conscience and a very guilty one.

The boy's tattoos were of the emblems of the dimensions.
The emblem of his dimension as well as those of the dimensions he had destroyed had been etched in detail on his otherwise smooth skin.

On his abdomen, were the emblem of the shadow dimension, black smoke rising like a tornado with a black dragon curled underneath, and the emblem of the Fiery dimension, a Phoenix curled around his arm and surrounded by flames.

Thundra pulled the covers down some more and noticed that the left side Zeddein's V-line was also tattooed.
'Xerrein'
Spelt out in dark blue and in cursive writing, with a small black snowflake on top of the name.

Maybe love interest

Thundra shook his head.

The boy was far too compassionate.
His mother was rubbing off on him too much and he was becoming just as compassionate as she was. Compassion was an emotion he couldn't allow in his quest. It was a sign of weakness
He leaned down and kissed his son's forehead then placed his own forehead where he had kissed.
The boy hissed in his sleep as the skin on his forehead began to burn.
Thundra pulled back and watched the new binding seal fade on his son's skin.

'Sorry, Zeddein, it's for the best'.

He pulled the covers back on the boy and left the room.

Now for Lera
