Chapter 18
Normal POV
Human World
Rain
21 days of uninterrupted rainfall that now threatened to flood the earth and possibly bring back the famous great flood from the time of Noah.
The strange thing was that it was only in this city that the rain fell like this.
The reports had shown that about 24hours before the rain fell, a small silver light fell from the sky and the result of that silver light reaching the earth was a loud thunder clap that according to the citizens, sounded like the roar of an angry beast.
Following this were streaks upon streaks of lightning flashing in the sky. Some reaching the earth, at the exact location where the silver light had landed, some striking the trees in the forest and some nearly killing people. The demons in the city understood what the strange events meant and kept their mouths shut as well as steered clear of the mystery 'landing zone'.
The big problem was that humans began to see, exempting those already with 'the sight', the humans began to see the invisible beings that lurked around their city and which was why they could even see that the crater in the forest was not formed by natural means.
The humans, curious and ever suicidal as their stupidity made them, ventured to the landing zone, took pictures of the large crater and the strange metallic object or creature inside said crater. Few demons hung around and only observed from a distance, much like the telepaths that merely used their sight to view the unfolding events and remain confined in their homes. The demons lived.
But the humans? Some got struck by lightning and lost their heads and limbs or were reduced to blood and bones while most were turned to ash on the spot.
The few that managed to survive after their 3 day expedition under the heavy rain, refused to broadcast their findings and rather tagged the events as the works of supernatural forces acting up in the city.Another streak of lightning flashed in the sky and reminded the people of the strange news of the city's current predicament.
The crater was filled up and overflowing with water by now.
The water demons had taken pity on the creature in the crater and sent out streams of magic to ensure that the creature, now with flesh and feather wings instead of the reddish metallic skin and wings it had sported upon its fall, floated in the crater instead of just remaining at the bottom like a chunk of rock.
From what they could feel and see, the demon wasn't a water demon. It was a Thunderan and it was definitely in a semi-comatose state without much of a grip on reality and consciousness hence its failure to rein in its abilities, he had the Thunderan gift known as Rain Cloud which let its wielder cause rains and stop them once created. The Thunderan fought for consciousness and control of his magic, all while still floating in a large pool of water but the fight was rather difficult, as far as telepaths that had come to observe for themselves could see, no one could force him out of his unconscious state without shocking him and probably causing him and his magic to implode and cause destruction far worse than what the tri-brid beast had brought upon the demon world.
His thoughts, though heavily guarded and sealed, were the reason he was yet to awaken. All they could do now was wait and see.

"I'm on my way, just the weather issues that's actually scaring me now" the girl whined over the phone.
"We know. But we'd rather much have you in our sights right now" a middle aged woman sighed over he phone, held between her left ear and her left shoulder as she put away the washed dishes in the sink.
"Plus, your father will be back the day after tomorrow" the woman baited her daughter, drying her hands with a cloth and smoothing her knee lenght sleeveless floral gown.
"You got me, momma. I'll be home by tonight" the girl said and the woman sighed in relief.
"Come home quick" the woman said finally, hearing the other line click dead. She sighed and waited for her family to return.
