Chapter 19

Normal POV

Human World

He was numb.
He was tired.
He really wanted to die.
But destiny hated him to the ends of the universe and back.

Ugh

"Don't move or you'll open up stuff" a female said from across where he lay.
"Shut up" he hissed and turned to his side but ended up falling flat on the ground.
"You should learn to listen" the female chided him and he snarled at her but she only chuckled and came closer to help him, the sound of heeled boots clicking on the wooden floor and they were getting closer.
"Stay away from me" he warned her and flared his wings but groaned and hissed in response.
"I manged to get the arrows put of you but I got electrocuted in the process. I should be the one asking 'you' to stay away from me" the female tsked and knelt beside him to help him up.
"Boy, you're fucking heavy" the girl groaned as she struggled to hold him up.
"I'm sorry. But if it helps, I'm much more muscle and bone than fat" he tried to soothe her as she helped him sit on the couch, wings folded behind his back.
She laughed, an almost masculine laugh for a female.
"I know. Your abs are so defined it's almost a shame to human guys" the girl sighed and sat beside him on the couch, knees touching and he looked at her from the corner of his eyes.

"Thanks, I guess. What's your name?" he asked and she chuckled, another near manly sound.
"Straight to the point I see. You're welcome and I'm Cassie by name. What's your name?" she beamed
"Cassandra. Beautiful name. I'm Zeddein" he turned to face her, taking in her features.
Cassandra was beautiful. With high cheek bones, a Greek nose, forest green eyes, pink lips and an overall cute face.

"Oh, mum will be here soon" she said, whipping out her phone, sliding her fingers on the screen a few times before tapping on it really fast and sliding a few more times and dropping it on the coffee table in front of them.
"I should probably go. I wouldn't want to scare your parents or get you in trouble" Zeddein said, getting up and wincing a bit at the pain that was obviously not going to go away soon.
"First of all, my parents aren't too ancient to just scream in fear without asking why I'm standing so close to you. Secondly, how will you get me in trouble?" she had a playful edge to her voice.
"You're kidding me right?" his lips twitched as he turned to look at her
"Nope. Tell me" she said, giving him what looked like puppy dog eyes and he sighed, amused by her playfulness.
"Fine. What do you think your parents would say or think when they see you alone in the house with a half naked man that looks about your age? I don't want to hurt the one that rescued me" he gave her a small smile and she burst into laughter, making his nose scrunch up in confusion.
"Why are you laughing, Cassandra?" he now had a smirk on his face, walking closer to her, still feeling playful.

"First of all, I'm not a kid. I'm 23 and Secondly..." she moved to press her chest against his, cradling one of his cheek with a hand while her other hand ran up his body from his hip till it was wrapped around his neck.
"You could be my lover for all they care" she leaned closer and all but purred the words in Zeddein's ear, eliciting a growl from him.
He wrapped an arm around her waist and hiked her right leg up to pull her closer so their groins were pressed against each other, hiking up her already short skirt in the process.
"You're a playful little vixen aren't you? I could just devour you right now" he growled, silver eyes glowing, with hints of red in them, pupils turning to thin slits and canines elongatimg into little fangs causing the girl to shiver.
"Not if I devour you first" Cassandra purred and nipped his earlobe, causing him to groan and lean down a bit to lick a long stripe up her neck, earning a moan from her.
"I like how you think" he smirked and his lips met her's, slowly at first and then turning rough and rougher.
He squeezed the soft globes of her ass as he kissed her and explored her mouth with his tongue.

Cassandra groaned into the kiss and jumped up to wrap her legs around his waist, squeezing his hips a bit with her thighs and enjoying the feel of his hard muscles on her skin.
They suddenly stopped what they were doing and burst into laughter.
Zeddein gently dropping her back on her feet and clutching his aching ribs as her laughed while Cassandra wheeze for air but still kept laughing.
"Please no more" she wheezed and lost her footing, falling forward and knocking Zeddein to the floor on his back while she landed on his chest, causing both of them to erupt into another fit of laughter.

"God, you're such a bad boy. Falling for my teasing like that" she chided playfully, not getting off him but straddling him now and leaning over so her face was close to his, and he chuckled a bit, reaching up to brush a strand of hair behind her ear.
"It's not my fault. You made this bad boy fall with your naughtiness" he looked at her and smiled, genuinely? He wasn't sure but it felt nice. She had no idea he was a monster and he'd sooner die than let her see his monster. Ever. She smiled back at him before reaching behind her for her phone on the couch.

"My parents should be back soon. Mom went to pick up dad 'cause he arrived home earlier than scheduled" she checked her phone before getting up and pulling him up as well.
"Do you intend for me to meet them?" he asked
"Hell yeah. I just saved you and it would be wrong to just let you go before you recover fully and plus, you can't go to any hospital. You can't actually be seen by humans" Cassandra explained, placing her hands on her hips.

Zeddein raised a brow then smiled at her, shaking his head before he spoke.
"You're not not going to let me leave are you?"
"Not a chance mister. Besides, I'm actually quite curious as to what kind of supernatural creature you are" she shrugged and he looked at her, puzzled, before chuckling.
"I'll tell you all you want to know before I leave"
"Okay. But that'll only be after I'm sure your wounds have healed properly" She said, with a broad smile on her face and Zeddein felt warm inside of him.
"As you wish, my lady Cassandra" Zeddein gave a mock bow, with a hand against his chest.

   'I'll have to keep this one safe'

Even if I have to die trying.
