Chapter 21
Normal POV
Human World
He didn't remember passing out on soft cushions or on a mattress.
He remembers his head coming in contact with a small rock and the coarse sand scratching his skin when his body finally hit the ground.
Zedd came to the sound of people whispering not too far away from him.
He cracked an eye open to take a look but his head hurt with the action and he shut his eyes tightly, groaning in pain and irritation.
"He's awake, sister" a familiar near male baritone spoke up and footsteps began to approach where he lay.
He shot up quickly and ended up head-butting the person leaning over his face.
"Dammit" the woman swore and hissed, the force of the impact cleared Zedd's head and chased away the headache, funny enough."Damn, baby, your head's pretty hard" a mother familiar voice spoke, almost purring, and he turned his body, still sitting down, to face the female that had just spoke.
He took in her features appreciating everything about her.
From her hot pink hair, to her burning amber eyes that looked like roaring flames due to the fact that they were glowing brightly, her voluptuous curves that made him raise a brow and smirk mentally. She had quite a rack and was a beauty, specially carved and crafted with the looks, body and air of a goddess, and she was so familiar. Too familiar. Maybe."Last time I saw you, you were just a teenage boy, but now you look so delicious i could eat you up" she purred again, earning a dramatic eye roll from the taller dual color haired woman. The pinkette was wearing pink crop top that hugged her chest and made it stand out more, no bra underneath so he could clearly see the outline of her nips, and black shorts that outlined her curves and didn't do much to cover her ass.
No, he wasn't actually attracted to her. He just knew a beautiful woman when he saw one."It's been a while, Nadira, how's everything?" Zeddein turned to the giantess, masking his concern with a cool voice, similar to what he often used whenever he was in his father's presence.
Nadira smiled fondly and softly, already hearing the hidden concern in his voice.
"As you can see, my head is still on my shoulders. Your daddy didn't as much as put a finger on me, but he was saying something about that loyalty bullshit" Nadira had a smug look on her face and Zeddein laughed, not too loudly, but just enough to dismiss the woman's fears.Turning back to the pinkette who have him a coy smile he shook his head, smiling at her while he did it.
"So, will you tell me what happened and how I managed to get in the hands of two beautiful and well stacked women?" Zeddein smirked, watching how Nadira turned a light shade of pink before she walked over and smacked him upside the back of his head, while muttering something about him only leaving home for just 3 years and already having a filthy mouth because she wasn't there to keep an eye on him like she always did back in Thundera, while Samira just laughed at the guardian and her ward."I've always had a filthy mouth. Judging by the fact that I practically had soldiers with very filthy mouths babysit me for years before you came along. But don't worry, I'm not actually that bad" Zeddein smiled.
"Samira used the feather you'd given her a while back to tack you. We found you amidst the ashes of your home" Nadira explained.
By this time, Zeddein had almost forgotten what he'd just done.Almost
He lips tilted into a frown as the most recent events in his life flashed before his eyes and Samira frowned as well.
"What's wrong?" she asked, coming over to stroke his cheek and he almost flinched.
"Don't touch him. He doesn't deal well with close contact" Nadira told her sister who nodded in understanding.
"It's okay. I'm fine" Zeddein assured them, given them a small smile while his lips twitching to straighten back into a frown.
"Very well, then, let's just go straight to the point. Your mother requested that I put a spell on you to help with a certain problem that you'd been dealing with in secret for a while now" Nadira gave Zeddein a 'don't you dare deny what I'm saying' look and the boy swallowed thickly, bringing a hand up to scratch the back of his head.
"Yeah. It's just a minor curse. It's supposed to go away once certain conditions are met" he explained and Samira snapped her fingers.
"Yes, I remember now. I was there when the elder Serpentine cursed him but I didn't hear the last part though, 'cause they spoke in a strange language" Samira said and Nadira nodded in understanding.
"Then it's settled. My sister here, has telepathic abilities and she's powerful enough to seal your mind for you so the curse doesn't do further damage" Nadira turned to look at her sister who gave a curt nod.
"The seal will not only safeguard your mind, it will also keep your dreams safe-ish. You can come back to me whenever you feel like the seals are weakening" Samira explained further.
"Very well. I'm actually tired of hearing stupid wailing and sobbing echoing in my head. I'll do it" Zeddein shrugged.
"Now, let me warn you. It won't be a painless process because blocking the path of a Curse seal is very painful and has repercussions that most cannot bear. Can you take it?" Nadira looked intently at her ward who just snorted.
"I've had to deal with nasty shit for years in my life. One spell with adverse effects isn't enough to scare me as much as my father. Thank you very much"
"Then it's settled. I leave you in my sister's care" she told her ward who only gave her a smile, then she turned to her sister.
"Treat him well, sister, I'll be watching both of you from Thundera" Nadira told her sister before vanishing in a cloud of Grey smoke.
'Try not to fall in love with him. He's younger than you but he's more of a weapon than a lover'
