Nervously, you sat perched upon the edge of your porch. Levi would come home from a rather long mission this evening; just in time for Christmas, and his birthday. The house smelled of sweet treats and your perfume.
You made it look perfect for Levi. Clean to his liking, cooked food you knew were his favorites, lit candles all around making the place glow dimly. How you missed him.

Over the horizon, just in the distance, you could see a small man on a large horse. Your heart felt full, standing up from the porch and smiling. Levi looked different since the accident with Zeke; a long scar over his eye that treaded down his lips and onto his chin. You didn't mind, though, he was perfect.
Levi smiled at you, you yourself running to him once he hopped off the saddle of the horse and planted onto the ground.

"Levi!" Your voice was overwhelmed in happiness, joy over bursting and making you warm in the cold snow outside.
He was cold, nuzzling into the side of your neck for warmth. "(F/N), can we go in?" He asked. You nodded, watching him tie up the horse into its shed.
He took your hand softly, leading you into the home. The look of relief on his face was worth the hours of self torture it took to get the place clean.

He seemed happy, or at least content. "Love, did you clean?" He asked, pursing his lips and dragging his finger along the coffee table. "I did." You answered proudly. He turned, hugging you.
"Thank you." You nodded into his chest, the cold feeling fading. "Happy birthday, Levi."

He smiled, stroking your hair softly.
