Riding my horse back to head quarters alone wasn't how I imagined my Friday night would go. I was supposed to be in town, but Hanji had rid in especially to deliver news to me.
They said I was to go back to HQ on command of Captain Levi, who was also my lover of a year.

In this world there are different types of relationships and soulmates. Purple for your twin flame, green for platonic, red for passionate, and yellow for your forever.

Worriedly I shot out of the village and went back, which brings me here, about a kilometer out from my destination.
Upon arrival, I saw no one. No one was in the dining hall, medical, on the stairs, or in the dorms. This made me more than suspicious.
I dashed to Levi's office quickly. When I got there, the door was already open- leaving me to see a large note on his desk.

'Mess hall, 18:00 xx'

I smiled and looked over to the open field out of his window. I ran out in a hurry, still not sight of a single person. How odd.
I ran from there to the mess hall, at this point I had been sweaty, but composed. I wore my uniform today, meaning the scout cloak draped my shoulders as the wind caught it behind me.

Upon my own arrival, I found nothing in the mess hall. I looked up and down the bigger area, no one. I, then, sat down at one of the tables and sighed. Perhaps Levi had been playing a game with me, who knows, he can be awful daunting, despite his appearance.

Finally- after about a quarter hour, I heard foot steps. They were boots.
Heavier than I expected, I turned to where they were coming from. Grabbing the person by their collar and holding them incapacitated to the ground.
I let out a sigh of relief when it was only Levi.

"Oh my, I'm so sorry! I thought you were someone else!" I helped him up, dusting him off. He didn't seem to mind.
"It's fine, I'm glad you came. I appreciate it." His hand ran through my hair and over my (S/C) skin slickly, pushing my fluffed hair away from my face.
I smiled to him, "What was so urgent?"

He then tensed up, looking away from me, but held my hand gingerly. This made me even more suspicious. In fact, it also made me anxious. Had he slept with another? Did he not longer love me?

Levi then held my hand tighter, looking into my eyes now. "I've been thinking about us," My whole body tensed up, rightly so.

"I love you, and I want to start a life with you. I can't afford a ring- but, would you take my hand anyways?" His words were abnormally soft spoken, and his eye contact was warm.
I could tell he was nervous, as was I.

Tears welled into my eyes as I looked onto him, vulnerable. This made my heart crack into a new space of hope.
"Oh no. I've hurt your feelings. I didn't-" Quickly, I did what my words could not, and kissed him. It seemed he needed the reminder that I love him too.

Then pulling away, I rested my forehead onto his own. "No. I do want to wed you, Levi. Ring or not." He smiled, smiled, agaisnt me. I held onto him tightly, our breath corresponding.

After a few minutes I heard shuffling and coughing, when Levi tensed up and turned back. Only a moment later, all of my peers and subordinates stepped from the dark. Everyone from Sasha to Erwin, all of them excitedly rushing toward us.
They were cheering congratulations, hugging us, and holding our hands- telling us how excited they were.

Erwin took ahold of Levi, looking at me. "I trust you'll be a fine husband, won't you?" He smiled and pat Levi's head. Levi scoffed, "Of course I will."

The night was filled with energy as our cadets danced around, both squads interlocking into an all-night bender. This wasn't just my marriage, it was a marriage for all of us. A relationship for us to hold onto through the pain, and honestly, I enjoyed every bit of it.
They had made food, bringing it out and digging in. Alcohol was passed around, even sake, which was rare in these parts.

In the end I thanked everyone, and Levi took me back up to his room.

Tonight was perfect, I had found my yellow.
