"Hey! Give me back my bread!" You stood from your seat, reaching your hands calmly over the table to the person who had your dinner encased in their filthy palms.
"Hanji I'm serious!" Your foot hit the floor, frustrated with them at this moment. They stick their tongue out, "Not till you confess." Rolling your eyes, you sat back into your seat. "Going hungry then, eh?"

"Would you two grow up? Walls." Erwin chimed in, stirring around the slushy soup that had been provided as a side. You mentally groaned, folding your legs over. "Sorry commander, (F/N) here has no balls."
Your face grew heated, red plastering your obviously flustered face. "I-I do too! Just on my own accord." Once again they laughed, tossing the bread into your hands.

Erwin chuckled watching you bite into the bread, smiling at the silliness of his captains. Two out of three, that is.
"What are you two even going on about?" He asked, dipping a square of stale bread into the soup.
You glared at Hanji, but to no avail to stop their words. "Captain (F/N) here has caught feelings for someone in our unit." They exclaimed, making wiggly brows.

Erwin laughed, picking his trey up. "Finally, maybe (F/N) can learn how to enjoy human company."
Sitting your head down, you began mentally preparing for the more than obvious long day ahead.

Not far away, though, Levi was wondering who it was. Not that he cared; he was only wondering if they were better for you than him. Realizing this thought, he quickly brushed it away and stood, readying himself for the day.
Once out to the field, you prepared your team for their warm-ups and training. Lucky for you, you'd spar with Levi's squad  on account of how many of his soldiers had passed away a few missions past.

His team was proficient for the most part, but that's not really what you had been paying attention to.
Levi sat at a table near the cabins, drinking what you could only assume was black tea, and reading the paper Jean had gone to get earlier in the morning.

Trudging over- dependent on your team's ability to survive, you sat at the table with him. He only peaked up at you once, peering back down to his ministrations nearly immediately. You could only help but to lay your head down, tired, and restless all the same time. No matter how many years you'd been here, each day was taxing in it's own way.

"So, who's the guy?" Levi's carmel voice interrupted your daydreaming, tugging you back to reality. You sat up in question. "Excuse me?" Your eyebrow arched, nearly offended. "The man you have feelings for, who is it?"
"Why do you want to know? Besides, who ever said it was a man?"

Levi scoffed, sitting the paper down and peering over the edge of his cup, which he was now taking a sip from.
Admittedly he could say, perhaps, he felt a little envious. You were rather beautiful after all; sassy, talented in every way. You excelled as a solider, flourishing as a leader as well. He enjoyed your motherly attributes as well.

"Cut the bullshit, keep denying and I'll quit caring." You smirked over the table, "So you care, huh?" Levi felt defeat throb in his veins, a sudden head ache bulging at his brain. "If that'll get you to tell me."
Another smirk spread across your lips, this time in satisfaction. "Well. He's got an under cut, nice hair overall. He's an amazing solider, smart man, and resilient above all. He likes reading. His past is troubled; but I don't mind it."
Levi dead panned for a moment, staring into your eyes.

"It's Erwin?" He asked, looking out onto the place your gaze was set; the forest. You sighed, "Not at all." He thought for a moment, raising his hands in a 'giving up' manner, then pulling the paper up to read again.
You'd had enough of his 'hard to get' antics, enough teasing as well.

"It's you, dumb ass. For a smart guy, you can't pick up signals for shit." You rolled your eyes, trying to avert your gaze and prepare for the awkward rejection to come. Luckily nothing was said, the only sound was Levi's paper hitting the table, resonating softly.

"It's your lucky day (L/N)." He dauntingly stood, peering down at you as he folded the paper up. "I feel the same."
