(basically we're using the fact Mikasa is part Japanese in this AU, I really love traditional values for the most part, and I enjoy writing of them too.)
I'm so sorry I havent been updating! i havent really felt creative and now the holidays/midterms are coming up. I'll try to do better but the next coming weeks I may be scarce
----

May 25th, the card in my hand read clearly. Mikasa was set to marry on May 25th. Her husband to be had been Jean, who seemingly agreed to the idea of a traditional wedding. I could only judge by the fact the letter asked us to wear kimonos and robes.
I smiled, returning to the living room, where Levi sat reading a book. I walked behind him, wrapping my arm delicately around his shoulder.

"Love, look at this," I held it down, him taking it between in middle and index finger. He quickly scanned it, then handed it back. "Kimonos, huh?"
I laughed a little, "Yeah, guess we better get shopping." He nodded, taking my hand into his own and kissing each knuckle sweetly.

It would be 3 months to now, the day of her wedding. I scanned the mirror. A black and red kimono, cinched at the waist with an okatio. I wore a simple pair of white socks in which I would wear sandals over.
Pinning my hair up with a clip Mikasa had sent me herself, I was satisfied. Minimal makeup, of course, out of respect.
Stepping from the bathroom, I'm met with Levi sitting on the sofa. His kimono matched my own, black and red, specially ordered from a Japanese designer Mikasa recommend in her letter.

I walked into the living room, smoothing the tail out and sighing, "How do I look?" Levi peered up from his book, eyes widening a bit, making me blush. "You look..lovely."
He stood, hands snagging around my waist and pulling me into his chest. I laughed a little, holding onto his cold hand with my own warm one.

We left not long after. A three hour ride, but worth it once we arrived. How they afforded this, we would never know. Lights were cascaded beautifully along railing, dark oak was the wood of clear choice.
Beautiful pinks and browns set off each other, a Japanese cherry tree set in the middle.
Soon we would see Eren, who looked handsome; yet angry. I wondered why for a short moment until Levi squeezed my hand. When I looked back, my eyes found a tea table. Dishes and tea of the finest variety. I smiled, "Let's go, then!"

He ushered me over past the table and started excitedly pouring himself a steaming cup of black tea; his favorite. He broke his serious expression once taking a sip, then sighed, relaxing into the taste.
I gazed around as we stood, eyes soon meeting Armin, who looked completely different.
I waved at him, his eyes catching mine, then waving back excitedly. He then ran over to me, engulfing me in a tight hug.

Levi raised a brow to this, but didn't mind. He enjoyed Armin. "So, are you excited?" He sang, looking around at the beautiful decor. I nodded, "Very!"
We continued to talk until it was announced to wedding would start soon.

Levi took my hand into his own, clutching it as we entered the gorgeous space. It was truly breath taking.
The ceremony had been even more beautiful. Mikasa looked stunning, her hair was grown out into a bun and looked absolutely gorgeous. Levi was obviously bored quickly, but I didn't mind him playing with my hands.

I peered over to Eren, who watched with an unmatched anger. He had lost her, but everyone knew he didn't deserve her. I had help her recover the heart break of him leaving, although they remained friends.

When the service was done, Levi had told me he didn't want to stay after and wanted to go home. I agreed, wished my goodbyes, and we were off on the 3 hour trip back.
Once home, I undressed from the stuffy material and climbed into bed with Levi, snuggling against his back.

His body was relaxed into my own, letting me hold around his waist.

"I love you."
