TW:
MENTIONS SELF HARM, MENTAL ILLNESS, AND SUICIDE.
----

This had been it. All laid out in front of you. Being so caught up in the life outside of the walls, everyone had forgotten the present inside the walls.

Yet, here you were. Erwin had called you in by solider from town to come to HQ immediately. So, of course, you did so. Upon arrival, he explained how Levi had gotten overly upset in the past meeting- and was now locked into his office. Of course this wasn't within his character to them, but you knew his facade.

You tried the handle, but it was locked. Your anxiety raced while your thoughts did the same. Levi was your lover, your world, your future. How you had missed him being upset was beyond you, even though he tried his best to hide most emotion from everyone.
What you hadn't considered were his walls.

Finally, in nothing but frustration- you kicked in the door. The kick held power, the power of your scarring love. The wooden frame busted open, dust flying everywhere. Normally, Levi would have flipped; but his office, his famously clean office, was an absolute disaster.
Papers thrown around, books off the shelf, smashed cups, everything. The dust played no part to this.
Creeping in, you viewed his bedroom door. It had been also locked as you jiggled the handle around. You weren't playing, and you weren't begging Levi for entry, no.

Once again you raised your leg, hitting the door. It busted open just as the first did, leading you to a room that was just as it had been. Levi was sat in the corner, facing it, like a child being punished.
Quickly, you breathed his name, running to him and grabbing around his waist, gently.

He tensed.

"(F/N), my door.." His voice was broken, you could hear the remnants of sobs. Your arms flooded his body, turning him around to face you. Then, you sat down in front of him, and scooted against the wall.

Pulling his sleeves up, you saw them.

Fresh, red cuts. They laced over old ones, fresh ones toppled each other, it was an utter mess. Your heart broke at the sight, Levi wouldn't even look at you.
Wordlessly you pulled him onto your lap, pulling him close. There was no protest from him, only tears flowing down onto your shirt.

You didn't pay mind while beiggining to run your hands through his hair, carelessly. His head dipped into your neck, sobbing silently.
Watching, you held him tightly as his arms swayed a death grip onto your back, holding you as if to make sure you wouldn't leave him.

"Levi, I love you so much," You spoke into the emptiness, kissing his head. You knew he wouldn't respond, but the answer was clear when his already breath-taking grip grew tighter.
You knew the stress had taken a toll on him, the loss, all of it. He had fallen apart and you were the only thing pulling him in.

If he had gone any further, he may have died. Thinking about it made tears well into your eyes, you began to sob as well as him.
He noticed quickly, looking up to you, searching for your eye contact in panic. Both of your eyes were puffy, messy, and you both looked horrible. His hands found your face, looking into your marbled eyes.

Your hands copied his, him still in your lap- you both had hands on one and others were faces, looking into the eyes of your lover. Being faced with this made him stifle his crying, then, kissed your wet lips softly.

Your arms made way under his own, holding him once more.
"Never leave me Levi, not that way, not willingly." You said, holding him tightly once more. He nodded into your chest.

You stood up with him, pushing off your shoes. Then, you laid down with open arms. He hesitated momentarily, then, crawled into the bed with you.
Comfortably, you were the big spoon, and held him softly while whispering sweet nothings into his ears. This contact was odd to you all, but deep down, you both knew this was good. He needed this.
