Iladya is taking in the surroundings as if it is a return to home.
"Ah, Lothlórien. The fairest of all the dwellings of my people," she gazes in awe. "There are no trees like the trees of this land, for in autumn the leaves fall not, but turn to gold. Not till the spring comes and the new green opens do they fall, and then the boughs are laden with yellow flowers; and the floor of the wood is golden, and golden is the roof, and its pillars are of silver, for the bark of the trees is smooth and grey. So still our songs in Mirkwood say." Aragorn watches in awe, yet Gimli looks nervously around.
The Fellowship run swiftly across a meadow into the woods. Once in there, they walk quietly and carefully, looking around them.
"Stay close young Hobbits," Gimli beckons, holding Frodo's arm. "They say a great sorceress lives in these woods. An Elf-witch of terrible power. All who look upon her fall under her spell..."
"Frodo!" Frodo looks around him quickly.
"Frodo!"
"And are never seen again!" Gimli finishes.
"You are coming to us is as the footsteps of doom. You bring great evil here! Ring bearer!" Frodo sees a vision of Galadriel's bright blue eyes.
"Mr Frodo?" Sam asks.
"Well! Here's one dwarf she won't ensnare so easily! I have the eyes of a hawk, and ears of a fox!" Gimli laughs but he is brought up abruptly by two arrows appearing in front of his face.
''Oh.''

The Fellowship is surrounded by drawn arrows on all sides by numerous elves. Legolas has drawn his own arrow in response. Aragorn holds his hands up in peace.
Deadly arrows aimed at their heads. Haldir, the Elvish captain steps forward. He looks at Gimli with disdain.
"The dwarf breathes so loud, we could have shot him in the dark," the manly elf replies. Gimli growls. They are instructed to walk along, which they obeyed to.
The Fellowship now standing high up in the trees on a leaf of the Mallorn branch. The sun has set just below the horizon and twilight is upon them. The Fellowship follows Haldir into the forest until they stand on a platform in the trees.
"Mae Govannen, Legolas o Thranduil, Iladya o Thranduil," Haldir greets the other elves.
"Govannas vîn gwennen le, Haldir o Lórien," Legolas speaks.
"Our fellowship stands in your debt, Haldir of Lórien," Iladya whispers to Frodo. Haldir nodded and turned to Aragorn.
"A, Aragorn in Dúnedain istannen le ammen," Haldir speaks.
"Oh, Aragorn of the Dúnedain, you are known to us," she whispers.
"Haldir," Aragorn nods.
"So much for the legendary courtesy of the Elves! Speak words we can also understand!" Gimli grunts.
"We have not had dealings with the Dwarves since the Dark Days," Haldir speaks calmly.
"And you know what this Dwarf says to that? Ishkhaqwi ai durugnul!"
"That was not so courteous!" Aragorn hisses to Gimli while taking him by the arm. Haldir moves on to Frodo.
"You bring great evil with you," he said, then turning to Aragorn. "You can go no further." Haldir turns around and walks away while the Fellowship turns to look at Frodo.

Aragorn talks avidly to Haldir.
''Boe ammen veriad lîn. Andelu i ven!'' Aragorn speaks. Haldir whispers inaudibly.
''Merin le telim,'' Aragorn continues. Again, Haldir replies quietly, only audible for Aragorn's ears.
''Henio, aníron boe ammen i dulu lîn!''
Iladya turns around and looks at Frodo, who glances at Sam. Sam looks away sadly, Merry and Pippin look at Frodo and turn away. Gimli turns to look at Aragorn and bows his head.
''Do not fall in despair, Frodo,'' Iladya whispers, kneeling next to the Hobbit. Frodo turns to the elf and sends her a faint smile.
''They will not let us into Lórien, will they?'' he whispers. It was now for Iladya to send him a faint smile.
''I do not know but Aragorn is doing his best.'' The two turn to Aragorn who is pleading with Haldir.
''Aragorn!'' Haldir speaks quietly to him.
''Andelu i ven,'' Aragorn continues. Frodo again looks uncomfortable and alone, even though he feels small comfort from the elvish woman.
''Gandalf's death was not in vain, nor would he have you give up hope. You carry a heavy burden, Frodo,'' Boromir tries to soothe any pain. "Don't carry the weight of the dead.''
Haldir walks up to Frodo, ''you will follow me.'' Iladya looks past Haldir to meet Aragorn's eyes, who nods. She sends him a small smile and nods.
They walk through the wood as Haldir stops. "Caras Galadon. The heart of Elvendom on earth. This is the city of Galadhrim where dwell the Lord Celeborn and of Galadriel, Lady of Light," he breathes. He spoke with pride.
