CAN YOU KEEP A SECRET?

"Y/n?," Kita looks at you in surprise, "Didn't expect you to be in here."

"Yeaahh, I um... I was just studying for math..," you smiles and fidgets your fingers.

He just blink and nod then took the papers from the teacher's desk.

"Wait what are you doing with those?," You asked him with your brows raised.

"The teacher told me," He turns to look at you again.

You stand up and stop studying to puts your stuff in your bag and getting ready to go home.

"Hey, are you going home? If you are, can you help me take these to the teachers office?," He asked you politely while holding the papers in his hands. You nod and smiles again to help him getting the other stack of papers from the teacher's desk.

"Thank you," He said with an genuine face, a small smile appear on his face.

After you both finish putting the papers back to the teachers office, you both walk home together just to accompany each other's while discussing about school until it gets quiet.

"So do you share informational stuff about yourself to anyone?," You break the silence again.

He glances at you and shake his head.

"Not much. Most people doesn't seem interested in me and I don't like sharing my personal life to anyone," He sighs and looks straight ahead.

"I'm interested in informational stuff! I mean it's not like I'm gonna stalk them or whatever, gosh this is so embarrassing..," You flustered a bit and rubs your forehead.

He stares at you and chuckles, "I can tell you if you want but just don't come spy on me."

"Yeah sure I want to get to know you better!," You told him and he turn away flushed.

"I live with my grandma. Even though I don't know where my parents are, it doesn't really much bother me anyway. When I get older I want to start my own farm like grandma, she's like my spotlight," he laughs a bit.

"Woah! You sure got a lot of energy!," You told him with an big smile.

He stares at you and just give you a small smile on his face, enjoying the talk.

"My life is more tougher you know..?," You giggles quietly and he stares at you in confusion.

"Tell me yours," he asked politely but at the same time curious shown on his face.

You look at him with your eyes widen. You give out a big smiles again and trying to change the subject but you think he know that something isn't right.

"Can you... keep a secret?," You whispered to him, he just nodded.

"Life is great but after all these years I been keeping this secret to myself and my family knows it too, but they pretended that everything is okay. I wanted to make my friend- no, everyone happy...," you looks at down on the ground, kicking the tiny rock with your shoes. Still, Kita was still confuse about what's going on.

"I don't have much time left.... I don't know how many days or years Im still going to get but I know that it will end very soon, and I promise you to keep this secret until I die...," You try your best to smile more but only a sadness smile appearing on your facial expression.

Kita looks at you with a concern look, "What do you mean?"

"I really mean that I have a heart disease, if this pass over 100 percent," You takes out a heart monitor, "I won't be able to live anymore. I want to smile more before I die, that's the only thing I want!"

Kita looks at you then stopped walking. You turn to look at him in confuse.

"I... I won't look," he turn away slightly.

"What..?," you tilts your head.

"You can cry if you want to, I'm here but I won't look if you don't want me to see you cry. You want to smile right? All I want to see is you smiling as well but not those crystal tears of yours ruined your beautiful face," He cover his eyes with his hands.

You stares at him then laughs, "What? I'm not gonna cry if I don't want to. But just promise to keep this secret, Kita-San!"

Kita slowly pulls his hands away then smiles, "Yes.. I promise I won't let any of it drop."

You giggles and keeps walking umtil both of you arrive at your house, "Thank you for listening to me. After telling you this, I feel like I'm being free from hell. See you tomorrow, Kita-San!"

He smiles and just nodded in respond then walk to his house. As you went inside your house you begin to walk into your room and lay on the bed.

"Y/N! Dinner is ready! Come and eat!," Your mom called out.

"Kita? Dear?," Grandma calling out Kita's name.

He walks down the stairs and sees her standing in the kitchen, "Yes what is it grandma?"

"I want you to give these to the L/N family tomorrow morning please?," His grandma holds out a basket of buns.

"Sure I will," He responded and takes the basket, putting it on the dining table, covering the top with a towel so it wouldn't expire easily.

NEXT MORNING

"L/N family? That must be Y/N's family then," Kita murmured to himself while holding the basket of buns from last night his grandma made. As he was getting near to your house he notice you waving goodbye to your parents before going out. You then notice Kita as well and greet him with a sweet smiles as always.

"Ooh Y/N had a boyfriend~," Your little brother popped out, teasing you.

"What?! T... That's not it!," you blushed and shove your little brother away, "Anyway, what are you doing here, Kita-San?"

"I'm here to bring these to your family because my grandma ask me..," He looks at you with a straight certain face, his tone was mixed with kindness and icey.

"Oh? I see," She nodded.

"I'll take it then! And you must be Y/n's... Friend I suggest?," her mom took the basket gently and goes back into the house.

"Let's go!," you taking his hand and begin walking to school with him, "About yesterday..."

He looked at you and responded, "Don't worry, I'm not that type of person to spread secrets to other."

You sighs deeply, trying to calm down and acting normal like your usual self.

You sighed and look at your heart monitor percentage "Only 49-52 percent..."

"What's wrong? you never act like this before," One of your friend asked.

You looked at her and act normally "HAH, nothing! Just math problem that's all."

Her name is Kanae, she's your closest friend here since middle school to sophomore. You beamed brightly at her as if things are normal and she smile back too. What makes you feel relief is that she hadn't find out about your situation, if she did then she would already cry and keep ranting about it.

"Hey Baka Miya twins!," you yelled at them while they were still tired from practice.

Atsumu came up to you and panting, "Where.... where's my drink...?"

You sighs and pull out the bag for him to find his favorite food and his carton apple juice.

"Thank you Y/n-Chan!! I've been saved!," Atsumu jumped with tears of relief.

Kita was looked at you once he heard your name while you were giving the bag to Atsumu and Osamu. Kita flashback to when you said you want people to be happy and proud. Your smile always brighten up the room. Kita know that you're faking it, he can tell that you are scare that someone might know something is off about you.

"But why am I the only one who knows her secret?," He purses his lips and gazes at you.
