The Calm
"I refuse to come with her," Noah complained to Avinash. Noah suddenly came with the idea of going hiking to the nearest plateau. Avinash initially refused but after getting blackmailed by his best friend, he had to agree.
Amelia had nothing better to do, which made her tag along with the best friend's duo. She imagined it to be a pretty calm and blissful experience but it turned out to be the exact opposite. Noah and Amelia were continuously fighting.
Both of them were pulling pranks and each other's legs through the way. It wasn't that both of them didn't like each other. It was just the way their friendship was.
Noah had not seen Avinash this happy ever. He liked Amelia for Avinash by just looking at his happy face. Avinash was practically glowing, happiness was radiating off his face.
But just not today.
Avinash on the other hand was tired of their bickering. He was also tired of carrying his weight up to the top. Halfway on the plateau, he was tired of his wife and best friend. He thought that it would be a peaceful and blissful experience but it turned out to be the exact opposite.
"If any one of you speaks anything till we reach the top, I'm going back without both of you, and taking the car with me" Avinash threatened and continued his walk.
Amelia and Noah walked behind him like lost puppies. For the rest of the path, everything was pretty peaceful. The soft cold breeze was slightly brushing their skins but instead of feeling cold, it made them feel good. It was pretty tiring walking up and they were sweating like pigs.
For about half an hour everything was good, but just as they reached the top the bickering started, while Avinash was panting.
"You sweat like a pig"
"You smell like one"
"This is the reason you don't have a girlfriend"
"This is the reason you don't have a boyfriend"
"I have a husband, on your face ha!"
"Avinash, tell your wife to shut up"
"Avinash tell your best friend to shut up"
Avinash walked back towards the way they came. He was about to climb the plateau down when both of them realised what he was about to do.
"Avinash where are you going?" Amelia asked, running towards her mad husband.
"Home"
"Don't leave me alone with her" Noah came running and complained. Again.
"Avinash" Amelia whined.
"Impossible. Both of you are impossible" Avinash grumbled shaking his head. He couldn't really leave both of his idiots alone.
"I'll be the big one and say this. I'm sorry Avinash and I forgive you, Noah"
