The Suffering
Amelia was dumbstruck to see her pictures. Amelia's pictures were with Asher, very intimately. She was too stunned to speak. Noah looked at her accusingly whereas Avinash couldn't even look at those pictures. There was a knock at the door, cutting through the tension between.
"Come in"
"Sir the media is here" The receptionist spoke as soon as she opened the door. The power and forcefulness of the media had affected her adversely. Her nervousness could be detected through her voice and words.
"I will handle it" Avinash left the room and a weeping Amelia with Noah. Noah was very mad. He had trusted Amelia with his best friend. He thought she was the one for him but he never thought that she could do this to his best friend.
"I told you not to hurt him" Noah spoke out angrily "I thought you were different and were able to see what kind of a gem Avinash was. But no, you are the same as other girls" Noah started rambling. He was confused but very much hurt on behalf of his best friend. He knew Avinash would be hurt. He had been let down many times but this time? Avinash considered Amelia very close to him and his heart.
"I did not do this, this all is a lie" Amelia shook her head and spoke through her tears. She wanted to prove her innocence but she couldn't. She had never done anything with Asher.
"I don't believe you" Noah bitterly stated, making her flinch considerably. All her food was coming towards her mouth. She resisted the urge to puke. If he was mad, so was she. She had done nothing to make him question her character. It was stupid and uncalled for. She couldn't let him win this argument.
"Then I don't think we should talk" Amelia gained her posture listening to Noah's words. She only needed Avinash to trust her, no one else. He just needed her husband's trust.
Avinash entered the room, breaking them from their fight. He saw Amelia and his heart melted at his wife's tears. He believed her. He knew that his wife could do no such thing. She was too pure-hearted to do anything like this.
"Avi, please trust me I did not do anything" Amelia got up and ran towards him, trying to make him believe that she was innocent. Avinash engulfed her in a hug and rubbed her back, comforting her.
"I know. I will find out who did this"
"How can you believe her, bro? You saw the pictures" Noah couldn't believe his best friends' words. Noah just didn't want his best friend to get hurt again.
"Noah, the pictures are morphed ones"
"How can you be so confident"
"How can you be so confident that they were not?" Avinash shot back. Noah's mouth zipped listening to his words. Avinash was right. If Avinash didn't have the proof that those photos were morphed then neither did Noah have the proof that the photos weren't.
