The Friend
Before going, Cadence had not informed Matthew about her leaving. Matthew was taken aback when he got to know that his wife left for her sister's home. He was restless and knew something was wrong.
During all these years, Cadence had always communicated her part of things and decisions but this time she didn't. She just walked away. Matthew wasn't feeling good.
Avinash, however, started panicking by the fact that Cadence was not reachable. He pulled out his cell phone to call her. Amelia caught his action.
Thankfully, she pulled Avinash away from his father and brought him to their room. Avinash gave her a confused look but thought to ask her after calling Cadence. He called Cadence, sitting on the sofa.
Cadence picked up the call quickly. Avinash was bewildered. Amelia motioned him not to talk about the scene with his father to her and he obliged. He asked Cadence about her whereabouts and safety.
Cadence, on the other side, was happy that at least one of her sons cared about her. Unlike Asher, who wiped out his face off the earth, Avinash always cared about her, even when she wasn't her mother.
After dropping the call, Avinash felt a wave of relief run over him. His second mother was safe. But he still didn't understand why Cadence didn't talk to Matthew.
"Amelia, I will just inform Dad about-"
"NO" Amelia shrieked. "What I mean is, if Cadence didn't answer his phone there must be a reason" Amelia further explained. Avinash nodded, understanding what she was trying to explain.
"But why would she do this?"
"Avi, you're cute"

"Avinash we will be late, come one" Amelia yelled at him. Avinash was getting ready for the party and meeting his wife's friends. He wanted to be liked by her friends, but the fact that his stomach won't go made him mad.
Nonetheless, He came out wearing one of his suits, which Amelia purchased for him that day. Amelia was wearing one of her dresses that reached her waist. She looked pretty in that dress. Avinash was smitten by her.
Amelia and Avinash drove to the pub where Amelia's friends decided to meet up. They entered the pub and Amelia started looking scanning through the crowd to find her friends. She saw a group of four people and immediately recognised them.
She took Avinash with him and marched towards the group.
"Hey everyone," She said happily. Those four people turned their heads in a direction. They greeted her and she introduced Avinash to them.
For almost an hour, all of them kept talking and Avinash was standing awkwardly, not having any clue of what to do or say. He just stood there listening to them and stealing glances at Amelia.
