Hehe... uh.. hi?
__________
[Seto's POV]
My lungs burned as I ran through the woods, Brice along side me. It felt like something was stabbing at my left side. He faltered and held his side, "Brice, we can't slow down," I panted as I slowed a bit.
"I.. know," he coughed and started back up again with me. I grabbed his hand as we dodged through the trees.
I could hear the crushing of twigs and leaves; the trucks were here. "Come on we have to hurry!" I started to panic. "Go where?" Brice asked. "We have to lose them and hide." I grunted and kept going, the light of the sun peeking through the branches and greenery. It was starting to set, and the light dimmed.
The engines revved behind me and I gasped from surprised, looking back. The trucks were gaining on us, going in and out through the trees. A megaphone sounded, "Stop where you are!"
Brice puffed out, "Uh, no thanks!" I glanced to him and gave him a look, telling him to be serious about this, but he wasn't paying attention.
Since we were only on foot they caught up to us fast. No, no! C'mon, think! A van came and split Brice and me apart. My eyes widened meeting eyes with the members of the truck. As he pulled out some sort of gun and aimed it towards me, I looked at the wheels of the truck and shot out my arm towards it. A cold shiver ran down my left side and cold mist came out. Ice covered the side of the van and the wheels and completely froze the front side. In turn the van skidded and flipped forward into a tree up ahead.
I ran around and met Brice on the other side, us both looking equally panicked. There were multiple vans after us, which caught up quickly. The brush around us was getting thicker, and it was getting harder to see.
All the sudden there was a snap and a yell from Brice, who flew up into the air. A trap had been set, capturing Brice in a net in a tree. My eyes widened as I stopped. Concentrate.. I closed my eyes and felt the weight of everything around me. I felt around the twines of the rope holding Brice and shredded them. A quick snap and Brice fell from the net and I opened my eyes and stretched my arms out just in time to catch him. I grunted with his weight and barely managed to stay afoot.
A van stopped before us, and I let Brice down, ignoring the red in his cheeks. I gritted my teeth and raised my hand towards it, and kept my grip. The weight of the van was heavy, but I could manage. I lifted the van high into the air. I didn't let gravity take care of the situation; I slammed the van down onto the ground hard, the glass shattering from windows and a spray of blood on the white of the van. There was no time; more were coming.
I grabbed Brice's hand and tugged him along. I met his eyes and he seemed a bit taken aback, but he didn't say a word. I scanned my horizons carefully; I now noticed several traps throughout the woods. Ropes hanging from trees, the ground disturbed roughly beneath them. I guided Brice and I through the thick of it. When did they even have time to do this?
