jennie squints her eyes for a minute or two, even thinking of pinching her face just to be sure, but decides against it the second thought 'cause it was inappropriate.

"s-sorry, come in," she steps aside her door to give lisa space to enter, her hand ushering her inside, head tilted low, back arched down.

"no need to be polite," she said, wheeling her luggage inside.

"didn't know you had the same flight with rosie,"

"why didn't you come a while back?" lisa asks as she plops down her body against jennie's loveseat couch, acting like it was her who owned the place. "joohyun was there, doyeon, seulgi too to name a few." she added as she tossed the tickets on the side table.

"i facetimed with rosie before she went to the airport. she's just going to force me along and knowing her, she probably had a plane ticket set for me." lisa turns her head and looks at jennie who tilted her head low, fiddling her fingers. "let's just say i saved you a seat.. or something"

"hmm.."

is she avoiding me? lisa asks herself.

why wouldn't she.

"i'm going back to bed. i'm drowsy.. no — s-sorry!" jennie flew her arms midair to stop the standing thai distances from her. "you're my guest and t-tired and i should hand a blanket and definitely some water–"

"you don't have to–"

"i-i insist!" jennie gets her stubby feet moving.

"jen. i know my way around here, unfortunately. go to sleep, i'll fetch myself some hot chocolate." lisa said with finality.

the thai watched as the korean bolted to her private space, leaving the crime scene.

both girls heard the lock flick of jennie's room.

jennie chokes on her water the afternoon she wakes up.

"hello, are you ready?" the thai asked, book open on her lap, all dressed up.

she looks cute in her bucket hat, and her voice sounds lovely in the morning, jennie thought immediately.

no! she is not! her hair looks fried! like french fries!! why is she still here???

"f-for what?"

no good morning greetings either? lisa asked nothing.

"australia? the plane tickets i showed you last night? don't you remember?" lisa's arms were folded against her chest, brows a little arched up. jennie knows lisa's body language so well, unfortunately, that she's irritated by her choice of actions. but she paid no mind to it; lisa didn't explain anything to her anyway. she's responsible for not giving a proper heads up.

"with you?!" she sighs in disbelief, too early to be having any negative emotions especially coming from this long-legged thai.

can i ship her off to thailand? i need a self-care day. jennie rolls her eyes internally.

"yes. with me. and just to be clear with you ruby jane, i didn't want this. your best friend persuaded me the whole november and this is the least i could do to pay her back."
