It's been a few weeks since the entrance exam. Mikko-san apologized the next morning, like usual, and we continued the same cycle. Get up, go to work, get home, do chores, try to sleep, repeat. You had to work as much as you could, because if you were accepted to UA, you would have to pay the absurdly high tuition. It was comfortingly normal. Until today. The letter from UA would arrive today. You were unfocused at your jobs today. Your mind was somewhere else. Your co-workers noticed, they let you leave early. And now, you were pacing across your room, with the letter on your desk.

Once you finally built up enough courage to open the letter, a hologram popped out. A mouse, rat, bear, thing?

"Hello Y/n L/n, I am Nezu, the principal of UA. Congratulations you have been accepted to UA!"

You let a a breath of relief you didn't know you were holding.

"You scored 13 villain points and 65 hero points. Hero points were a measure of how heroic you acted during the exam. For example, taking down that zero pointer. That was quite impressive!"

Was he . . . complementing you? You face was dusted with a light blush.

"Now, normally a score like this wouldn't be enough to attend UA"

You paled, the short lived happiness you achieved from the complement dissipated immediately. You didn't get accepted to UA. Why would you even think a villain like you could go to a hero school.

"However, you are a special case!"

Wait, what?

"Starting this year, we'll be offering something called the second chance scholarship. We will be offering a full scholarship to a high risk student, and you will be the first recipient! You will attend UA with a all expenses paid scholarship. The rest of the details are attached below. Congratulations!"

Principal Nezu, or the hologram of him, got sucked back into the small device, and you were left alone with your thoughts. You reviewed the documents in the envelope, signed and forged what was needed, and finished your chores.

You couldn't decide how you felt about this "second chance scholarship". As far as you remembered, you weren't given a first chance.
