'This is gonna be fun.'
You had to wait a few long minutes before you could actually enter the building. You used this time to focus your quirk. Brain invasion, your quirk, could be quite overwhelming. You could sense all the brains in your general vicinity. Neurons fire around 200 per second, and that was just one person. It was so loud. You could sense every single brain signal. Brains control the entire body, so that gives you quite a bit of range for your quirk. Messing with brains is a very meticulous, fragile, and dangerous process. You had to practice on yourself. That led to a few, very painful, failures.
You didn't want to hurt them, so you focused. You closed your eyes, blocked everything out, and focused. Focused on each pulsing brain, each signal, each neuron, until you finally got it. You were forced to continuously use your quirk on high alert, to recognize danger. Thats why you were constantly feeling the side effects of your quirk. Also because of that, locating your targets brains only took a second, and it was especially easy because you had met them before and already recognized their brains.
Finally you were done waiting for the inevitable announcement. Ignoring your still ringing ears, you calmly strolled into the unimposing building. You made no effort to stifle your echoing footsteps, knowing your targets had no chance. Some people would say you were too confidant and anything could happen. You just said you were aware of your limits.
The moment you stepped into the building, you grabbed onto your targets pulsing brains. Immediately you shut down the ventrolateral preoptic nucleus. At least you think that's what it's called, you never really cared to remember names. Doing this caused your targets to fall asleep almost immediately.
It was quite boring, really. You expect more of a fight, something a bit entertaining. Isn't this suppose to be the best of the best or something. Sighing, you exited the building. Not caring enough to even check on your targets.
You experimented with your scarf for the rest of the time. So far, you figured out you could control the size, the hardness, and it's movement. It quite exhausting. Sure, in theory you could control people through their brain signals, but it was so exhausting. The scarf was quite soft, it was cozy. It would make an excellent blanket. The days of exhaustion finally catching up to you, you made the scarf into a snug blanket and fell into a dreamless sleep.
