"You're being ridiculous.", Jisoo snapped, scowling at Jinyoung, school had just ended, and they were now walking around, in the middle of a scuffle.

"I know those guys okay. They're not good people. Why would you associate yourself with them?", Jinyoung retorted.

"Hey! They were bullying that boy, of course I had to stand up for him.", Jisoo spat, annoyed that Jinyoung was policing her on what to do.

"They're a year above you, and they're boys. Do you know how much trouble you just got in?", Jinyoung asked, frustrated.

"I can take care of myself.", Jisoo said, annoyed, "At the end of the day they're just highschool boys, Jinyoung and they were being assholes.", Jisoo said adamantly, and Jinyoung sighed at how stubborn Jisoo was.

He then grabbed Jisoo by her shoulders, forcing her to face him and Jisoo was taken aback at his actions.

"Look, I know you're very much capable of taking care of yourself but I know what they can do okay? I've seen it. These guys get suspended for injuring people.", Jinyoung explained slowly, "..And If Seojoon finds out about us, they'll just go after you even more too.", Jinyoung said and Jisoo raised an eyebrow at that.

"W-why..what did you do?", Jisoo asked, feeling slightly petrified.

"I kind of got them in trouble last year.", Jinyoung said as he pursed his lips together, "But. My point is I just want you to be careful.", Jinyoung said, "Please, promise me you'll never get involved in stuff like that ever again.", Jinyoung said gently and Jisoo felt herself getting weak at that.

"Please?", Jinyoung said softly, tilting his head to look at her properly, getting closer to her face and Jisoo felt her breath hitched. This was the closest they had been.

"Okay.", Jisoo said barely audible. She then swallowed, nervous, not able to look him in the eye.

She then chewed down on her bottom lip, walking away feeling her heart racing. It was the first time she has ever felt this way after months of fooling around with Jinyoung, it felt nice and terrifying all at once.

Jinyoung held in his smile as he watched Jisoo immediately walking away, he then caught up with her. Deep down he knew that he might have just flustered her.

"So it's a promise?", Jinyoung asked cheekily once he finally caught up with her, and Jisoo gave him a tight smile as she nodded, still recovering from what had happened seconds go, "Are you okay? Do you want to go have some ricecakes?", Jinyoung suggested as he gently nudged her with his elbow, and Jisoo inhaled at that.

She then mustered up the courage to look at Jinyoung.

"I-i'm not feeling well. I think I'm going to head home, Jinyoung.", Jisoo stammered, breathless somehow. Jinyoung raised his eyebrows at what Jisoo just said, "I'll text you when I feel better.", Jisoo said quickly before turning around, though Jinyoung managed to stop her by grabbing her wrist.

"Suddenly? Are you okay?", Jinyoung asked, concerned. He wondered if he had come off too strong. "I'll walk you home.", Jinyoung then said, Jisoo then shook her head.

"It's fine, it's not that far.", Jisoo assured, pulling her hand away. Jinyoung then frowned at that, he then grabbed her wrist again, "I'm serious.", Jisoo inhaled.

"Fine.", Jinyoung gave in, "But, wait, take this.", Jinyoung said as he pulled out a small umbrella from his bag, "It's going to rain anytime soon.", Jinyoung pointed out as he opened it for her, Jisoo could've sworn everyone could hear her heart beating rapidly in her chest.
