The others had been standing at the door, waiting for me to get out, but I was busy absorbing what I had just seen. Just heard.
"Charlotte, come on." Klaus beckoned.
I didn't move, I was frozen in place.
Everything I knew was a lie, that Mother didn't just commit suicide like Father said, she was murdered by one of the most villainous people on this planet, or were on this planet.
Klaus came over and hugged me, I hugged back bursting into tears, the same words playing in my head, "she got stabbed and thrown off, into the abyss" over and over again.
I then finally whispered, "They lied to me.."
Klaus sighed and tried to calm me down by playing with my hair, "It's okay.." and brought us both out, he asked Fiona where we could both go, just to relax. She gave him the area.
Hookey looked confused on what's going on, like he felt sorry. I wouldn't expect that from a person who used to work with Count Olaf to be honest.

I sat down on the bunk bed and looked over at Klaus, who was sat opposite, he smiled back.
I didn't know what to say except, "I'm an idiot."
"No you're not."
"Klaus, I believed everything he would tell me about Mother for all of my life, that fourteen years. He said she commited suicide, but look at what I just saw..." I sounded like I was talking to myself.
"He might have just been trying to protect your head, if you understand what I mean. Maybe, due to him not wanting to be in VFD, he didn't want you to know just in case you would go out there."
I went quiet.
"Not a bad idea."
"He's not like that, he's honest. But I'm doubting that now."
"Lemony is a good man, Charlotte."
I stared at him, "he's a coward."
"Don't say that."
"I have a right to be angry."
"But do you really mean it?"
I looked at the ground.
"Do you, Charlotte?"
"I don't know." I mumbled.
He came over and hugged me, I couldn't think.
I hugged back, "Klaus, I'm sorry I'm acting so stupid."
"You're not acting stupid."
"Are you sure? I mean, look at me. Thinking I'm stupid, to you, makes me stupid."
"Obviously you're not."
I looked up at him, "Am I stupid for thinking I am stupid?"
"I can't say, it's what you think."
I smiled, "so you agree?"
"No."
"Will you ever agree?"
"No, Charlotte." He smiled.
"And now you're persistent."
"Exactly, it'll stay that way."
"Oh? And why's that?"
"Because you're saying things about yourself that aren't true, but I understand."
"Don't kill me but-" I kissed him again.
He kissed back and I pulled away soon after, "I won't."
I laughed.
He laughed.

Fiona was downstairs explaining her past missions with Frank, Violet was looking through the maps and paperwork. Something Klaus would've been doing.
Sunny was in the kitchen with who I now know as Phil, from Lucky Smells.
Beatrice was also with Violet, she was trying to get Violet's attention.
I walked over and grabbed the sugar bowl, slipping it back into my small bag, ignoring the fact that Frank wanted it to stay here.
Klaus nodded when I took it, he didn't trust Fiona either.
"I need o go outside, I'll be back in a moment." I said and climbed out.

I walked out over the icy ground that surrounded the submarine, I caught sight of Father, yet I didn't walk toward him.
"Charlotte!" He shouted.
I stopped and stared at him, "You lied about Mother."
"What?"
"She didn't commit suicide!" I yelled.
He went quiet.
"I watched the file with you and Jacques and I...I saw the cut off bit, where Mother and you talked to me, told me things I didn't know!"
"Charlotte, I'm sorry!"
"Well, I don't accept! You've lied to me for fourteen nearly fifteen bloody years!"
"I was trying to protect you!"
"From what!"
"VFD.."
I stared and turned back toward the submarine and stared walking.
Just before I got into the pothole, I fell through the ice, plummeting down to the bottom, struggling to swim back up.
Father obviously saw that, I could hear him yell for help, he couldn't swim.
I then felt my vision cease.

I woke up, coughing and coughing and coughing, I was stupid. I didn't watch my step.
"Oh, Charlotte!" Klaus shouted, happy yet worried.
I opened my eyes, I was on the bunk bed, Klaus hugged me.
"You scared me, don't ever do that again!"
"I didn't look where I was going!" I kissed him.
"Didn't look like it!" He kissed back.
I looked up at him, "I tripped."
"You fell through the ice, if you'd tripped you'd have fallen into the submarine."
"True."
"At least you didn't freeze to death."
"How did you know I was down there?"
"Your Father was yelling."
"So I'm not crazy?"
"No, he's alive. He explained himself to everyone."
