Kozachi's POV
The bonfire was the only light I could see the moment I entered our abode. Warmth in the air rushed me in an instant as soon as my boots—laced with snow—touched our newly placed carpets.
I can't believe I had to travel through a snow storm just because I forgot to buy a gift for both our parents.
I prioritized her too much.
The dim lighting was enough for me to catch a glimpse of the clock that hanged on the wall. 6 hours left until Christmas eve and yet, no souls were to be seen in the house.
Winter brings out the moon quickly.
That's when I heard footsteps coming from the stairs. The sound I made by closing the door must have provoked someone to check if any unwanted guests have arrived.
I mean, why leave your front door open at night?
It was non other than Saki, with her sleepy eyes. She also held a bat with both her hands. Not that she could swing that properly. She must've been holding that just to scare away people.
"Kozachi. Finally you're home. I have an important question for you." At a drop of a hat, she dropped the bat.
She said in her serious tone as we stepped closer to one another. She must be very serious about this.
"What is it?" I asked as well, in my most serious tone.
"Well--" She's clearly being hesitant about this one, as if she's about to blurt out a secret she had kept ever since she was young.
"What?"
"How does Santa get down from the chimney if there's fire? I won't get my gifts."
A pout formed on her lips as I held back my laughter.
"Oh no, you're not getting any gifts!" I said, in the most sarcastic way possible.
"Don't joke about that! Besides, I wished for a knife." Is it just me or did her eyes turn darker?
I gulped.
"W-why?"
"So that I can help in the kitchen!"
Oh good. I don't want her to be the person she cosplayed during Halloween.
"Well, let's start cooking now. Our relatives might arrive any moment now."
"Merry Christmas Kozachi."
"Merry Christmas Saki."

Misuki's POV
"Wake up. You slept all afternoon." His deep voice was an alarm clock I'd be glad to have.
"Oka--"
"Which means you'll have a lot of energy tonight." He winked before leaving me dumbfounded.
I just shook off the heat that formed on my face. It's him being flirty. I should get used to it.
After walking out of the room, I saw him leaning against the wall next to my door.
"You didn't need to wait for me you know."
"Good thing you left the room. If you were 10 seconds late, I would've carried you downstairs."
What's with him and his corny lines?
"Merry Christmas, Mimi."
"Merry Christmas."
Our family were already downstairs, as expected. I felt a bit embarrassed when I realized all the food was ready.
I'm the only one they were waiting for.
I recognized most of them, but my eyes were caught by a guy staring at me.
He looked like Kakeru. Maybe his brother?
"Good evening Misuki." A wink as he moved closer.
Flirty guy spotted.
"Back off Austin. A play boy like you doesn't deserve a girl as pure as her."
"Why? I just wanted to greet her."
"Does winking count as greeting?"
"Chill bro. I just love teasing your easily jealous ass. I won't steal her from you."
"Good."
"Unless you weren't watching."
Ah yes. It's me, my boy friend, and his flirty 6 foot tall brother.
SORRY I RUSHED THE ENDING GUYS
Just thought that the best way to fight against writer's block, is to end the story.
Anyways, I hope you all have a Happy Christmas and a Merry New year!
