Kozachi's POV
The exchange students arrived this morning. A cheerful guy and a cute looking girl. Guren and Chuuta respectively.
Saki's still much cuter though.
Everyone but Saki and I in the class shipped them immediately, saying that they have 'chemistry'.
I don't even know what love is anymore. It's far more complex than science's chemistry.
Why I don't ship them? The guy seems more talkative to boys than girls. In fact, during our morning break, he immediately went to a group of guys and started laughing with them in seconds.
He befriended them in an instant.
Meanwhile, the girl also did the same, just to girls as well.
I don't think those traits should be shipped.
Wait.
They could be.
***************
It's now lunch time and as soon as the bell rang, Saki immediately threw me a frown. Her friends were 'gently' pulling her out of the room. They were probably going to milk her from some news about us.
Not that I care.
As I watched my beloved slowly being dragged at the distance, I felt a gentle touch on my shoulders.
It was Guren.
"Why don't you eat with us?" His confident aura was evident, as other girls in the room were fixated on him.
I looked towards the people behind him at the moment he said 'us'. There were 6 people in total.
Did he knew 8 people could fit one circular table?
Since I wouldn't want to be a loner without Saki beside me, I nodded.
His smile widened as he gave me a wink as he said
"Your lunch is on me."
***************
So that's why she was dragged away. Her friends wanted to eat with Chuuta. There were 8 of them in one table. They were laughing, even Saki."Lines are a waste of time. Tell Kozachi and I your orders and we'll be the ones who line up." Guren said as he pointed at the empty table.
Everyone told us their orders as they now occupied the said table.
"What do you want?" I broke the silence between us, even though it wasn't really quiet. None of us were talking.
"You." His monotone now made its appearance.
"What?"
"Oh, I mean you? Sorry I forgot the accent."
I just gave off a nervous laugh at his words.
***************Just like Saki and the girls, we now were laughing as well. The center of attention is non other than Guren, who forced me to sit beside him.
He was very good at telling stories about his experiences with other people. He always manages to insert a dash of comedy into his words.
One topic piqued the interest of everyone in the table.
"Do you guys want to know how to make a girl like you?" He now has a grin, as if he's preventing himself from bursting into laughter.
"Yes!" Everyone but me reacted.
"Listen well. I'm only going to teach this sacred action once." He leans forwards, as his voice shifted into a whisper.
Everyone else followed.
"You ask her this question."
"What? What?" One of the excited guys asked.
"What's the color of your underwear?"
Laughter deafened my ears for a second or two as everyone shed tears of joy from his remark.
I wiped away my tears as a thought crossed my mind.
Maybe I should ask that question to Saki.
***************
She sat beside me on the couch as we watched TV. She had a small cup filled with french fries on one hand and a bottle of coke with straw on the other.
The thought I had a while ago kept lingering my mind.
Should I really ask her that?
As I slowly drowned my thoughts on how she would react to that, I felt a soft pull on my shirt.
She pointed the cup of fries at me as she sipped her coke. I accepted her offer.
After finishing the amount of fries I got from her, I took a deep breath.
"Saki?"
"Hmm?" She responded with the straw still in her mouth. She threw me a sidewards glance.
"What's the color of your underwear?"
She now faced me.
No reaction. She still has her blank face on.
"Black. How about you?"
She didn't care? Now she's asking me?
"Uhm...you weren't supposed to--"
"What's the color?"
She leaned closer to me, while keeping an eye contact.
"White."
"Show me." Is she serious? Her face was still blank!
"What? No!"
"I want to know if you're lying. Show me."
"I won't!"
A smirk appeared on her lips as she slowly closed the gap between us.
