Kozachi's POV

I instantly stood up as soon as I heard the alarm went off. I'm excited for the first day of school. The room was not that dark since the sun's rays entered through the window, slightly covered by the red curtains.

It looked like red light.

I now looked at the girl beside me. She was still sleeping. I moved the hair that covered her face sideways. It'll be easier for her to wake up if light reaches her closed eyes.

I went to the kitchen, making sure I won't wake her up.

I cooked bacon, since it's one of her favorite meals for breakfast. She's going to need all the energy she can get for the first day of school.

After everything was ready, I quickly walked back to my room again.

Yes. My room, not hers. She has her own room but she insists that we sleep together.

A sigh left my mouth as I saw her. She was still deep in sleep.

I think she slept late yesterday.

I closed our distance as I now sat on the bed beside her. I could now hear her cute little snores.

My hand now touched her arm as I attempt to get rid of her sleepiness.

"Saki, wake up." I said as I shook her arm, but to no avail.

I now pinched her nose. She kept fighting back by removing my hand.

By the time I stopped, her nose was as red as a tomato.

Saki the red nose reindeer.

I softly laughed at my own thought.

I was about to stand up and leave when she suddenly grabbed my hand.

"Good morning Kozachi." I tried my best to hold back my laughter as I maintain my gaze with her. Her nose was still red.

Sleepiness was still evident in her eyes.

"Good morning Saki. Get up or else we'll both be late."

"Carry me." She now extended both her arms towards me. Her sleepy eyes tell me that she isn't joking around.

"Fine. Just for today." She nodded.

I carried her bridal style towards the dining room. The stairs was the hardest part, but I managed to pull through.

"Is that bacon?" She sniffed the air.

"Yes, your favorite." The sleepiness in her eyes vanished as happiness replaced it. A small smile can now be seen on her lips.

I stopped at the chair she's going to use and placed her on it. I then sat on another one in front of her. A table is in between us.

She grabbed a chopstick. I poked her forehead when I saw her about to insert rice in her mouth.

"Pray first dummy." She nodded.

She tends to forget about praying when she loves the food served.

It was once again a sunny day. I didn't bring my umbrella with me. The news said that there's no chance of rainfall today.

I hope they weren't lying.

The temperature wasn't that hot, as the tall trees on the side of the road shaded us. I can't help myself but throw random glances at the girl walking beside me.

She was wearing a pink hat I gifted her.

She noticed my gaze, which made her look back at me. She then broke the silence.

"Do you think we'll be classmates again?" A hint of sadness was sprinkled in her tone.

"Hmm...I think so." I tried my best in sounding confident.

Sections are changed per semester. It'd be the third starting today.

Saki wasn't my classmate in the first, but we were in the second. That's when I met her.

"I'll bet 100 yen that you're my classmate again." Her words made me laugh.

"Dummy. I also think we're going to be classmates."

"Good."

A lot of people could be seen near the school's entrance. They were all staring at the announcement board. They're probably checking what sections they're at.

A mix of sad and happy noises could be heard from the crowd.

Cheerful noises from people who are classmates with their friends again, and the opposite for people who weren't.

Upon getting close enough, we instantly looked at the grade 10 sections. Many unfamiliar names greeted my eyes.

"Kozachi Koredo." I read in my mind.

I then shifted my gaze towards the girl's names.

"Saki Dokiru." I read in my mind once more.

I now looked at the girl beside me. She was already staring at me with a small smile written on her lips.

"Hello classmate."
