IT HAD BEEN A LONG NIGHT, but carl pulled through. all thanks to shane and otis. but one life cost another, lilac didn't know otis well, but she felt saddened another life was lost to this cruel world.

even if she didn't believe shane's story of the events that occurred.

but before shane returned, alone. glenn and t-dog made an appearance. lilac was currently sat beside maggie on the porch. occupied in her harry potter book, that she was almost finished. again.

maggie just wanted the company. the two girls sat in a comfortable silence that was broken when glenn spoke. "so do we ring the doorbell? i mean it looks like people live here." glenn questioned to t-dog. both men oblivious to the two girls sat ajar from them.

"we're past this kinda stuff, aren't we? having to be considerate." answered t-dog dryly, one of his hands putting pressure again his forearm that appeared to have been cut.

"did you close the gate up the road when you drove in?" maggie spoke up startling both of them, mainly glenn who seemed to be in awe of the women. yet glenn had only noticed maggie, lilac seemed to be irrelevant at this moment in time.

"uh hi. yes, we closed it. did the latch and everything." glenn said shifting in his spot with love hearts in his eyes. "hello. nice to see you again, we met before briefly." he continued which only emitted an awkward silence.

"look we came to help, there anything we can do?" asked t-dog. he noticed how maggie was staring at his wound and then spoke up again; "it's not a bite, i cut myself pretty bad though." he clarified.

"we'll have it looked at, i'll tell them you're here." maggie nodded as she stood from her chair. "we have some painkillers and antibiotics. i already gave him some, if carl needs any." glenn said not taking his eyes off of maggie, still completely oblivious to his 'bestfriend' sat only a meter away.

"come on inside. i'll make you something to eat." maggie smiled as she walked inside and they followed.

"not even a hello." lilac muttered under her breath as she went back to reading. it seemed as if she was invisible to the group. she didn't really have a role. and it's not like her previous job gave her much of an advantage, unless they came across new people.

which seemed a bit ironic right now.

lilac ended up finishing her book after another ten minutes of sitting alone. cursing to herself when she realised her other books were left in the RV.

she was going to stand up, maybe go for a walk to occupy her mind. but the sound of lori and her brother coming onto the porch made her almost freeze in her spot.
