THE NEXT morning came sooner than Lilac wanted it too. Lilac got herself dressed before walking into, what she could only describe as a social setting of the block, where Rick, Hershel, T-dog and Daryl were looking through some weapons.

Daryl glanced towards Lilac as he watched her walk next to her brother. "Not bad." Lilac muttered as she observed their collection. Infront of her, Daryl had picked up a guards helmet which poured out a liquid Lilac didn't want to know.

"I ain't wearing this shit." Daryl said with pure disgust, the same look everyone else had on their faces. "We could boil em." T-dog suggested but Daryl shut it down; "Ain't enough firewood in the whole forest. No."

"We've made it this far without them right?" Lilac backed up as she picked up a bat looking object and swung it around. Rick looked at his sister unamused as he slowly grabbed it off her and placed it back down. "God you guys are no fun. Least Glenn would've joined." She muttered under her breath but only Daryl heard.

Carol called Hershel to check on Lori causing both Lilac and Rick to turn their heads, but Carol reassured them it was nothing serious so they stayed put.

Some of the group began putting on armour to go explore the rest of the prison to try and find some food and medicine. Carl was stood beside Lilac as he picked up a helmet. "I don't think you're gonna need that lil man." Lilac muttered as Rick walked over. "I'm gonna need you to stay put."

"You're kidding." Carl said to his dad as his aunt Lilac gave him a 'ha ha' and began to take the helmet off him. "You too lil." Rick said causing Lilac's mouth to open slightly and Carl to say a 'ha ha' back.

"You've got to be joking Rick? Why not?" Lilac huffed, Daryl overheard them talking and glanced over, seeing how irritated she was starting to become. "I need you to be in charge while I'm gone and keep guard."

After some convincing Lilac finally gave up and agreed to staying, half the group went leaving Lilac with Carl, Lori, Carol and Beth to keep an eye on. As they all began walking out Lilac stopped Daryl and pulled him to the side slightly.

"Hey um just be careful." She said quietly with a tight lipped smile, a feeling of embarrassment taking over her. Daryl took a moment just to look at her, admire her even, noticing the worry plastered on her face.

Daryl gave her a nod, no words coming to his mind at that moment in time. Lilac gave a small nod back and walked back over to Carl grabbing her book as she waiting for them to return.

LILAC HAD SAT HERSELF on the table in the common room while everyone else was still in the actual cell block. Her head was deep into her book as she told the others she was 'keeping guard' but really she just wanted some peace and quiet.
