SHANE AND GLENN returned without rick and daryl. lilac felt slightly uneasy having her brother and...whatever daryl was to her out in the woods alone.
but shane had told them they were hot on her trail and we should stay calm and see what we can scavenge while we wait for their return.
lilac and glenn stayed together searching for anything that could be of use to the group. glenn picked up a few antibiotics he found in the trunk of a car.
meanwhile lilac was staring at a chain.
this caught glenn's eye as he watched lilac carefully hold the chain that had some sort of symbol attached. "hey glenn." she called out, causing him to come out of his trance.
"uh yeah?" he asked as the she stepped towards him with a big grin on her face. "turn around." she smiled at her bestfriend. "what...?"
"turn around." she laughed as he obliged to her command. glenn heard lilac unhook the clasp of the chain and then placed it on his neck.
once she clipped it back glenn turned to face her seeing a huge smile on her face. when he looked down at the chain he was now wearing, he saw a tiny star wars ship with a black gem on it.
"isn't this girly?" he laughed as he brought his thumb to run over the symbol. "isn't that toxic?" she replied pointing at him. "i love it, i won't ever take it off." he smiled as he brought lilac into a hug.
she was lucky to have found a bestfriend in an ugly world.

RICK AND DARYL returned later on that evening. the sun was almost at horizon as the orange glow complemented daryl's face.
but no sophia.
"you didn't find her?" carol asked as her facial expressions fell once again. lilac's heart ached for the grieving mother, she couldn't imagine the pain she was going through.
"her trail went cold. we'll pick it up again at first light." rick said as he approached her. "you can't leave my daughter out there on her own to spend the night alone in the woods." carol cried out as lori and andrea both sat beside her.
"out in the dark's no good. we'd just be tripping over ourselves. more people get lost." daryl said to her, his eyes locking with lilac's for a quick second before she looked away from his gaze. "but she's 12. she can't be out there on her own. you didn't find anything?." carol sobbed.
