THE GROUP HAD BEEN on the road for months, moving from place to place with no luck of safe refuge.

Lori's belly had gotten noticeably bigger as her pregnancy advanced more and more. The group was currently raiding a house, checking inside for any walkers.

Rick barged in first, followed by T-dog, Daryl, Carl and Lilac. Two walkers shot dead by Rick, as the others carried on scoping out the abandoned home.

Lilac slowly walked towards a door, her gun aimed ahead of her. She quickly swung it open and jumped at the sight of Daryl who had his crossbow aimed at her.

The pair sighed out of relief, lowering their weapons. Lilac gave Daryl a big smile and let out a chuckle to which he returned a small one with a gruff laugh. The last few months had been weird between Daryl and Lilac.

The bond between them continued to grow and flourish, something the whole group started to pick up on. Everyone except them. Stolen glances and protective gestures were all that had happened between the two.

Daryl continued upstairs with T-dog while Lilac stayed down with Rick and Carl in the kitchen as Maggie and Glenn walked inside quietly.

Once the house was seen as clear the rest of the group followed suit and walked inside with their luggage. Daryl plucking an owl he had caught while Lilac tried to hide her disgust of it from him as she sat on the other side of the room.

Carl had walked in, opening a can of something Lilac couldn't quite make out, she squinted her eyes due to the looks everyone was giving him and noticed it was dog food.

Which Rick threw on the floor.

The group stared at eachother in silence, hungry, tired and desperate. "Psst" T-dog motioned to walkers emerging. The group quickly ran back to their cars, picking up their belongings and fleeing the scene.

Lilac hopped on the back of Daryl's motorbike and all the cars followed behind.

THE GROUP PARKED up on the road to check the map hoping to find some sort of safe destination. "We got no place left to go." T-dog sighed as he and Lilac stared at the map. "When this herd meets up with this one, we'll be cut off." Spoke Lilac as she pointed at the map. "We'll never make it south."

"What would you say? That was about 150 head?" Daryl asked Glenn as he walked over and stood next to Lilac. "That was last week. It could be twice that by now."

"This river could have delayed them. If we move fast we might have a chance to tear right through this." Hershel suggested. "Yeah, but if this group joins with that one, they could spill out this way." Lilac replied as she rubbed her forehead.
