Part 25- Dumbledores army

Hey guys! Bit of a late update due to Christmas. Hope you all had a great one!

Fred and I were still doing perfectly, relationship wise. We had never fully spoken about what had happened, but it all made me realise how much he really cares. 

At Hogwarts things were beginning to change. It was very clear that the cold winter days would be soon arriving. I always get excited for this time of year. The snow makes Hogwarts even more magical. Fred was overly excited for us to spend our first Christmas together as a couple. Even though it was still a few weeks away, I was excited too. 

There have been many new rules that Umbridge had created and put in place, some better than others. These, like before, had been pinned up by Filtch outside of the great hall. Every morning, every afternoon and every evening, as we enter the hall we are constantly reminded of the horrible Lady that now over powers us all. All except Dumbledore. 

Some of the new rules state:

No music to be played during study hours 

All Weasley products will be banned immediately (this one bothered the twins a little, but won't get in their way) 

Proper dress decorum to be maintained at all times 

The wall continued to be filled more and more as the days went on.

It was now time for our lesson of Divination with the one and only Trelawney. I have always enjoyed this subject a lot. I find it interesting and unique from the other subjects. Fred and the others think I'm a bit mad for this and like to make fun of the fact that I believe half the things that come out of the professors mouth. 

Today we are going over tea leaves and how they work. I was paired off with Ron, which is always entertaining. 

"Did you hear Umbridge will be with us in this lesson as well?" Hermione tells us. We had been joined by her once already today. It was in potions with Snape and was quite entertaining. 

Flash back 

Umbridge moves carefully around the classroom, hovering over all of us. Snape seems hardly phased by her presence, but is still trying hard to impress. All of the teachers had been trying hard. This women has gained a lot more power and clearly has the Ministry wrapped around her finger. 

"You applied first for the Defence against the dark arts post, is that correct?" Umbridge moves around Snape, tapping her pink quill against a clip board. He tenses slightly at the reminder of his constant attempt for the job. 

"Yes" Snape replies with his blunt tone with his back to the professor. He stands still behind Ron and Harry, giving us all a good view. 

"But you were unsuccessful?" Umbridge continues with her mocking tone. 

"Obviously" Ron attempts to hold back a laugh as the questioning finishes. Of course, with it being Ron and one of the best moments to witness, this didn't last long. 

Once Umbridge had finished slowly walking out of the room, Snape turns and smacks Ron around the back of his head with a book. 

Flashback over

I laugh at the memory as it replays in my head. 

"What's so funny?" Ron asks 

"Oh. Just thinking about Snapes little interview earlier" I continue to laugh
