Part 5- wicked

It had been a day or two since the event. We all never really discussed it properly as we were a bit shook up. When we got back to the burrow we were all over taken by Molly and her hugs. I have never seen her so worried. she looked like she got no sleep. Fred and I had hardly spoken. I was a bit embarrassed about it all but still tried to make some conversation. 

Tomorrow we are all going back to Hogwarts and I am so excited. I have been missing the whole setting of it all. It is so magical and I love most of the teachers. I don't get along with professor Snape for some reason, well to phrase it better he didn't like me, but I never let it interfere with my learning.

It was the morning of the train journey to Hogwarts. I always get a bit travel sick during the long hours of it all. Due to this I normally sleep through most of the journey but after reading of course. I had packed one of my muggle books and many others to read through out the long school year, however I knew that if I ran out I could always go to the library. 

We were at platform 9 and ten all getting ready to walk through the wall that takes us to 9 and 3/4. After cautiously waiting for a good time to go when no muggles were looking everyone walked through. Like every year, I slightly hesitate before going through the wall as it still amazes me after all these years. 

After we said our goodbyes we were all caught off guard by the comment from Molly and Arthur who had said with a slight grin "you are going to have one of your best years at Hogwarts" but none of us thought to much of it. They always hyped up Hogwarts every year, so maybe it was just like that? 

As I was searching around the train trying to find Hermione, Harry and Ron, I suddenly came across two familiar red heads. I walked up to their compartment door and opened it after knocking. "have you guys seen the others?" I asked 

"and who are the others? you gotta be a bit more specific than that" George answered 

"oh I don't know maybe the only people I actually talk to?"    

"ouch y/n thought we meant more than that to you." Fred pretended to be offended with his hand on his chest. I couldn't help but laugh. "you can just sit in here with us if you like. I am sure we will be much more entertaining than Ron for the next few hours" he placed his hand on the free seat next to him. I agreed and took a seat next to Fred. 

A few minutes into the journey I decided it was time to do a bit of reading. I took out my muggle books and began to read getting lost in the pages when I suddenly felt eyes fixed upon me. I looked over to George who was completely out of it so I turned to Fred who quickly looks away. why was he looking at me? "so what is that your reading" he pointed to the book.

 "oh this" I held it up "it is my all time favourite. I got it from back at home"  a light smile appeared across his face "Fred" he nodded back at me "I never really thanked you for the other night. I mean I don't remember much but Ginny told me all about how you helped me." for what felt like an hour of eye contact he replied 

"anytime love. I will be your handsome hero any time of the week" he winked and I suddenly felt my heart beating much faster than before.

We were finally seated in the great hall and the first years had been sorted into their houses. we had received a few new Gryffindor students who look even more nervous every year. I could hear Fred and George booing the other houses so I threw them a little glare to stop. of course they took no notice. 

Dumbledore finally stood up for his yearly speech. "this year Hogwarts will play host to a legendary event.." he continued after a slight pause "the Triwizard tournament" excitement filled the room. I remember reading about this before in the library. I know how dangerous it is and that people have died before. "During which time a single student gets to represent his or her school in a series of magical contests. eternal glory awaits the student who wins this tournament" I looked across to Hermione who gave me a worried look.

"wicked" I heard the twins commenting

 "you can't seriously be thinking about entering. I mean you could get really badly hurt" I was so worried because anyone who enter is putting themselves at risk. 

I was so lost in thought I only caught the key information from the rest of Dumbledores speech.  heard that we would be joined this year by Durmstrang institute and the Beauxbatons academy of magic. there was a sudden change of mood to anger in the room when it was mentioned that you had to be 17 or over to enter your name into the goblet. this caused Fred and George to shout "that's rubbish.....you don't know what your doing!" I was sort of relieved that they wouldn't be allowed to enter but I doubt this will stop them from trying.

 After the feast had ended we all headed back to the common room. I could hear the conversation of the twins coming up with a way to enter the competition. Of course they will want to trick there way into it I thought. "can you believe it! Viktor Krum will be staying at Hogwarts!" I laughed at Ron who clearly still had an obsession.

 "maybe you can get his autograph" harry commented joking at how excited Ron was. 

 Hermione and I headed up to our rooms and got ready for bed. I was overly tired from all the talk and excitement about this years events. "Hermione" she nodded at me "who do you think will enter the tournament?"  

"no clue y/n whoever does is risking a lot but even if I was of age I would never be able to, it sounds scary"  after a moment of silence we were ready for bed and went straight to sleep. I was filled with a bad feeling of this year.
