February didn't take it's time too come around. The snow filled clouds swept away and left behind some rainy days and some sunny.
Things at Hogwarts had calmed down with Harry, Umbridge and I. This was mainly due to the re-start of DA meetings, which had been happening once again every week and kept some glistening hope in Harry's eyes. On my side of things, Draco Malfoy had told Umbridge that he was satisfied with my apology, which I will never forget he made me read out loud, and ever since then, Umbridge had only ever looked in my direction to point out a tiny flaw in my uniform. A lot of people around the school have begun having enough of her (well if they weren't already). Her Inquisitorial squad has been constantly going around taking away points from anyone and everyone, only from other houses of course and Gryffindor more than any other, but none of us were too bothered, as this year there was no joy in winning the house cup. In the hour glasses counting house points, the red ones were almost completely gone and Fred and George made sure the last ten or so stayed in. When one of the Slytherin Inquisitorial squad members, I think his name was Montague, had tried to deduct points, Fred and George did something resulting in him in the hospital wing several days later. They wouldn't tell me or Hermione what exactly it was they had done, but with the after effect of him still in the hospital wing, I wasn't to sure I wanted to ask.
Other news to spread around the school, was the mass outbreak of several death eaters in Azkaban, including Bellatrix Lestrange. This had influenced the DA meeting to be much harder worked and anxiety filled within all of us.
It was now the 13th of February, the day before Valentines. Myself, Harry, Fred, George, Ron, Ginny and Hermione were seated in the Great hall eating some breakfast. There was no rush to finish as it was now the weekend and our Hogsmeade trip would be taking place tomorrow.
"Harry, if you want to ask her just ask her" said Hermione, shaking her head and in a desperate tone to Harry who was seated next to her.
"Do you think she's expecting me too?" asked Harry airily.
Ever since his kiss with Cho, before Christmas, he has been wondering whether she was expecting him to ask her out or something. It's quite funny to watch really."Harry mate, if you don't want to go with her don't. It's simple really" said Fred from beside me
"Harry listen. Do you like Cho?" I cut into the conversation. Harry hesitated, but then nodded "Do you want to spend more time with her?" he nodded again "Well then ask her and you might want to hurry she's leaving the room" I looked in the direction of the Ravenclaw table where Cho and her friend were leaving.
"I-I'll just ask her later" said Harry hopelessly, with his eyes trailing after her as she left. "What are you doing Hermione?" he looked down to Hermione who began writing against a piece of parchment so fast that none of us could read it.
"I need to send this off. I'll find you later" and she hurried of out of the room without a second thought or explanation.
"Why does she always do that?" huffed Ron as Hermione became out of sight "She always tell us what she's up to in the end. She should just make it quicker and tell us before running off"
"Who's your Valentine Ron?" asked Ginny grinning
Ron quickly looked away from where Hermione had just left and said "We have Quidditch practice so we aren't going tomorrow and even if we were I don't want one. Girls are too confusing"
"No we're not" said Ginny and I defensively in unison
Harry, Ron, George and even Fred looked to us and said "yes you are"
