Chapter 41: Ampunan.

After school, nagbihis ako matapos kong maligo dahil pupuntahan ko si Amber sa hospital.
I looked myself on the mirror with only a towel tied around my waist. Bakit hindi ko siya na-protectahan?
Ang tanga tanga kong maniwala na okay na siya- hindi naman talaga ako naniwala sa mga 'okay lang ako' ni Amber, pero sana hindi ko siya pinabayaan.
I sighed at nagbihis and after that, I hopped into my car and drove to the hospital.
After 10 minutes, I arrived. I immediately went to her room and saw her peacefully lying on her bed.
I must admit, kulang ako nang kain at tulog dahil siya lang ang nasa-isip ko 24/7.
"Hey, Beautiful." I smiled as I laid down the basket of fruits on the table beside her. "How are you?" I asked as I sat down beside her bed and held her hand.
"Alam mo, ang daming nagtanong sa school kung okay ka lang ba. Gaya namin, nag-alala kami sayo kaya gumising kana mahal na prinsesa ko." I talked to her. I heard that it is a good exercise to talk to someone in a coma.
"Yung Mommy mo, nag-alala sayo at laging umiiyak. Ayaw mo niyan diba? Si Jeremy, the one who used to blabber nonsense is now quiet and zones out a lot. Math, even though na hindi kayo magkasundo minsan, you both see each other as sisters and she feels guilty na she didn't find you quicker. Si Deltran at Alonzo, gaya ni puns, palaging na-z-zone out at tahimik. Si Cooler at Ryu, hindi masyadong maka-focus siya mafia duties. Ako, miss na miss na ang prinsesa ko." I said caressing her hand with my thumb.
After a while of talking to her, napansin ko ang isang zip lock bag sa gilid ng kama niya on the other side. It was the ring. They probably took it off when they did some tests. Maybe I'll just give it to Math, she can keep it for now.
Kagabi, after getting back to Amber and before going home, pumunta ako sa Ampunan na palaging pinupuntahan ni Amber.
"Gray?" Tanong ni Sister Marie nang makita ako probably not expecting to see me 2 am in the morning.
"Magandang gabi po, Sister Mary." I said at nagmano. "Bakit gising pa ang mga bata?" Tanong ko sa kanya when I saw a light coming from the children's room.
"Oh, nabalitaan namin ang nangyari kay Amber galing sa Nanay niya. The kids have been crying dahil sa pag-aalala nang Ate Amber nila, Kami nga mga madre, nababahala na. Kumusta ba siya?" Tanong niya. "So far, Sister Marie, stable naman ang health niya. There is a big chance of her waking up but it might take long." I informed her. "Manalig nalang tayo sa ating Diyos, sigurado ako na hindi nito pababayaan si Amber." Sabi nito and looked at the Crossed Jesus statue on the wall. I only nodded at her in agreement.
Amber maybe one of the most stubborn person I know but she has the purest heart.
"Gray?" Tanong sa akin nang anak ni Sister Marie na si Mariam. "Good evening, Mariam." I greeted her and she smiled at me.
