4 months later
today was the set day i was getting my phone back, actually all of my devices. online school is easy. still have straight A's. i have hopefully earned my parents trust now.
i walked downstairs, and there my phone was laying on the counter.
i walk over fast and grab it. thousands of notifications, but not one from sam.
i try to text him but it sends me a message right back saying that the sender is not available.
what does that mean? did he block me?
i can't go find out because i can only go out with one of my parents.
i text kelsey, and ask if she knows anything.

me : hey let me explain. i got my phone taken away for leaving the camp with sam. they found me and grounded me for a long time. i'm doing online school. how are you?
bff kels : thank god you are alive! i was worried sick. i heard about that at camp. basically your roommate tanner went off and told his parents and they told yours. i bet you can connect the dots. are we allowed to hang? see each other at all?
me : my parents won't let me, i wish though :( i miss you so much. do you know anything about sam? like what he is doing now? is he doing well?
bff kels : i don't know anything either. trust me girl, when you went MIA i tried to get a hold of him. he went away just like you.
me : do you see him at school??
bff kels : no, but yes. he is alone half the time, his parents are being really strict. since he's a senior and all he leaves early for his free period. not even like his friends talk with him anymore.
me : :( i want to see him as much as i want to see you. i hate this. he told me how strict they were. but he like blocked me on imessage or something.
bff kels : NO WAY:( i will find out whats going on at school. talk later <3
i sigh throw my phone on my bed. i have gained back some of my parents trust. i ask them if i can go for a run around the neighborhood.
this is a great time to improve myself mentally and physically.
my parents agreed.
i went back upstairs and changed into some lulu shorts and a tight zip up sweatshirt. and i put on my nikes. it was kind of chilly, and the sun was going to be going down soon.
i put my hair into a low messy ponytail, and left. i had my airpods in, and started with a light jog.
i am not much of a runner so i wasn't going to go crazy. i picked up the pace, and decided to jog/run a mile.
i finished my mile and jogged back to my house. when i got back, i felt very productive.
i ate dinner with my parents, and we watched a movie. it was good family bonding time.
i didn't have any apps on my phone other than imessage, facetime, phone, and youtube. i also had like netflix, hulu, and those apps.
no snapchat, instagram, or tiktok.
i barely really had any peoples numbers :/.
after i watched the movie with my parents, i went back upsatirs and checked my phone eagerly for a text message from kelsey.

bff kels : sams parents took his phone, and trashed his number. he signed today to the university of michigan for lacrosse, i asked jason.
me : that explains so much. i'm proud of him
bff kels : aw you need to see eachother it's depressing, he doesn't really talk to jason that much as he used to. he's changed
me : how
kelsey left me on delivered so i don't know how sam has changed.
5 months later
it is now may, online school has been pretty good. i can't wait to go back in person next year though. i can see all my friends.
i get my license in august, so i will be driving soon as well. everything should be back to normal by the time school starts again.
my last day of school is on the 20th. then it's summer!
i don't really think about sam anymore, not seeing someone really makes things hard. besides, he is graduating soon, and going to michigan for college.
he probably isn't thinking about me. what am i to him? he can get whoever he wants. i stopped wearing his necklace back in february. valentines day made me emo as hell.
it sits in my closet along with the hoodie he bought me. i just need to focus on me. my life. my future.
2 years later
i am a senior!! everythings normal with my parents. life is great. i have a new boyfriend. his name is zach. he plays baseball and is super sweet.
he has blonde hair, blue eyes, he is 6'2 and is committed to florida for baseball.
we met my junior year in my sports medicine class, we had to sit next to eachother and wrap eachothers ankles.
graduation is coming up, and i am going to UC berkeley. i got a jeep wrangler as a present for my acceptance.
i am majoring is psychology, and planning to become a therapist. hopefully open one of my own offices in a big city.
although zach and i are not attending the same college, i hope long distance can work.

today is my graduation day. i got ready and put on my dress. it was white, and simple. it went well with our navy blue gowns.
i gave a speech, and after we all threw our hats in the air.
on to a new path of my life, a new chapter.
