i woke up and sam's arm was around me, i got on top of sam and i had never seen him wake up faster. he looked at me confused, but happy.
"you know what you did to me last night." i said.
"mhm."
i put my finger over his lip and dragged it down.
i knew i had gotten sam happy, so i gladly got off the bed and grabbed clothes for the day.
i picked out a white tank top, blue jeans, and cute sandals. *
i walked downstairs and went to the pantry where me and sam's snacks were. i grabbed my gold fish i had eaten previously.
sam and i woke up pretty late. it was 11. not as late as i would wake up at camp though.
sam walked down the stairs dressed 15 minutes later.
he wore lululemon shorts, a quicksilver shirt, backwards hat, and his old skool vans on.
he looked very hot.
"let's go do something."
"like what?"
"you'll see."
i smiled and followed sam to the door where he retrieved his wallet and keys.
he locked the door behind us and we got into his car.
it was beyond beautiful here. it was like a wonderland. it must be even better in the winter.
as we drove down the mountain, i stared out the window. i felt sam's hand on my thigh, and i smiled.
i daydreamed about corny scenarios. meeting sam's family, even maybe going on vacations together. i thought about him meeting my parents, and how life would be back during the school year.
i would be able to date sam, be with him, and see him all the time. have someone to myself, a lover.
who would've thought i would fall for him.
"what are your plans for college?" i asked sam.
"i have a good chance of getting a scholarship to play collegiate lacrosse. so whatever university takes me there. i have a few offers already."
"congratulations sam!" i said.
"how about you princess?"
"i don't know yet." i say shyly.
"you have 2 years. don't be embarrassed."
i smile at how sam makes me feel so secure. he reassures me.
we pulled into the parking lot of a mall.
"i want to get us something." sam said.
i smile.
we walked into the mall, with our hands intertwined.
he leads me into the nike store and he picked out us matching hoodies. how cute.
"do you like them?" he asked.
"duh." i said like a smart ass.
he laughed and went to the cashier.
our height difference was immaculate. i always knew he towered over me, but i now really realized.
we walked out, and he took me to the pandora store. i like where this is going, but also i have a pit in my stomach. he made me wait outside the store.
i watch him ask the lady to direct him somewhere. he says points at something, and he buys it instantly.
the lady takes it out and hands it to him.
he exits the store fast.
"i tried to be quick so you weren't out here alone for too long."
"aw. it's okay."
we proceed to walk out back to his car, and we get in.
he drives to the nearest cvs and tells me to wait in the car.
he comes back out super fast. he turns towards me, and grabs the nike bag. he pulls out my hoodie. he writes the date on tag inside the hoodie. 8/19/2020.
he then writes his name on the tag too.
he hands me the sharpie and i do the same to his jacket. i wrote lex with a heart, and the date.
also, i know this isn't much, but i got you this necklace.
he pulls out the necklace from pandora, and i take it in my hands admiring it.
"it's the infinity sign, to show you i will love you forever no matter what." said sam.
i smile, and go in and hug sam tightly.
sam puts my necklace on me, and i admire it more in the mirror.
"let's go eat." said sam.
i nodded, and he drove to panera.
i got the macaroni and cheese with a roll, and sam got a turkey club.
we sat there chatting, learning more about each other.
"my parents are super strict. they care about my grades and sports too much. they are sometimes a little much." sam confesses.
"mine are too, but only when i do something bad. otherwise they are chill."
"summer is ending soon. schools going to start soon." i said panicked.
"it is okay lex, we can go back to the camp. nobody will know we even left."
i smile, he always reassures me. i love it.
"we'll go back tomorrow morning." he said.
i agree with the idea. this getaway with only him, was the best. i'm sad it has to end.
we finished up our food and went back to sam's cabin.
we laid in bed together, cuddling.
"let's end this game."
sam gets on top of me, and we kiss passionately. he removes my clothes, and we make love.
